Good Points: the location and setting of this restaurant is ok

Bad Points: I felt the food and service was very poor and not good value for money

General comments: At Rockafella, Newcastle upon Tyne, the wait staff seemed very disorganised on the night I was there. We were a large party and they seemed as though they could not cope. the signature dish, although I did not have it, just looked like a plate of slop. I had an overpriced place of risotto for my starter and it was like yellow tinned creamed rice pudding swimming in a sea of oil, my main was again an over priced lamb dish served on a bed of mash which was like wall paper paste and surrounded by a vast sea of heavily salted sauce. My pud was an Eton Mess and they could not get this right. I looked over to the reception area and a few of the waiters appeared to be sitting down chatting with one another. The plates and glasses were ridiculous, huge odd shaped plates and glasses like goldfish bowls. I was a guest and not paying thankfully so I did not make a fuss, if I had been paying all my courses would of been sent back!
