I received the Speranski Australia SPB02 Mandolin with some marks on body on receipt.Set up non- existent on receipt in U/K./Played like a dog.Sent it to a professional Luthier for set up.New strings,lowered action,adjusted truss rod.Now plays and sounds a dream. Good value for money but be prepared to get professionally set up. (read more)

Well built solid woods instrument. Bright sound, plenty of bass, accurate fretwork, comfortable action, no buzzes. Good finish. Nice ebony bridge and good tuners. A very nice mandolin overall. Recommended for intermediary to advanced level player. Very good value for money. Bought off ebay. Attention to small details could have been better. A bit rough inside the scroll and some excess glue can be seen inside the body. But I guess I am just being picky. One of the best mandolins I've seen in... (read more)
