Have used FastCarhirefor many years in Florida. Had to cancel one hire for March. Cancelled in January - despite promises no refund and now no contact since May. No way to contact them if things go wrong and may not be able to get Credit Card to chargeback because of the delay! I trusted them because of previous good experience.

We booked 2 cars for pick up and return in Koh Samui - Thailand. As required we paid deposits to confirm bookings. Our two bookings had different collection dates and same return dates. Subsequently we pre-paid balances for all bookings costs and received confirmation and rental vouchers. On the day prior to departures we received messages regarding both bookings which stated that the rental company (National) would not accept our pre-paid bookings and therefore we would have to pay again at the airport. We were promised that the monied already paid would be refunded immediately. WE HAVE NEVER RECEIVED THE REFUNDS AND FASTCARHIRE HAVE IGNORED ALL OUR MESSAGES AND EMAILS. I HAVE NOW DISCOVERED THAT THIS IS A REGULAR PRACTICE WITH THIS ORGANISATION

We were left high and dry without a car 2 days before my holiday 23/9/18. They told us they had problems with broker and would give us a refund, this hasn’t appeared so not only did we have to try and find money and a new car also we have lost £345.00 DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY...

I made a car rental reservation with this company and paid in full. The day before I travelled, they sent me a message to say my booking had been cancelled, that they would refund my money in ten days, but that I would now have to rebook with them and pay in full again, if I wanted a car. They said this was because the car rental company had a "fleet issue". On arrival at my destination, I found my booking had been cancelled but that the car rental company had a full stock of cars, one of which I rented and paid for. The overall car rental cost was far greater, because this was a alask minute rental, and Fastcarhire have not yet refunded what I paid them, nor have they offered a reasonable excuse for having cancelled my original booking, at the last minute. Please do not make the mistake of using their service. You will wind up poorer and disappointed!

They take your money then tell you the cars are not available due to demand but to book a car again and they will return your first money in time . They then refuse to refund you your money . Refuse registered letters sent to them . Not a proper business address . If you don't want to loose your hard earned cash stay away from this car hire company at all costs .

This was 2 years ago, I booked a Ford Mustang to be collected from Los Angeles airport. All set to go and the DAY BEFORE we were due to leave for LA I received a communication from FCH telling me they could not supply the vehicle and rebook with someone else. Needless to say I was fuming....lesson learnt, don't use FCH

They cancelled my booking at the last minute keeping over US$1200. They will not give the money back. Said to try Credit Card company for a refund but I paid direct from my bank.

The car was not very clean inside, it had over 50 thousand ks. When we picked up the the car we were left no choice but to buy extra insurance, comfort package and 27 euros non refundable fee and 58 euros deposit for the a full gas tank and to add insult to injury when we read the car rental agreement it stated that, the car had to be returned before we hit 2000 kms and it would be exchanged for another vehicle. In all the years that we have travelled and rented cars this clause was never in any agreement that we signed. It was an inconvenience for us because our destination was two hundred and seventy five kms away this cut into our vacation time. After two weeks we used a day of our vacation to exchange the car. In the future it would be beneficial for fastcarhire to check out the car rental agreements and include (in this case recordgo. car rentals.) In the long run it was the cheapest price but it turned out to more expensive with the insurance tacked on. I would not recommend this company to anyone. One particular staff member was combative.

I arranged a car hire with fast car in May 2013 from my hotel in Bangkok. I paid up in full 8 weeks before the journey. At the hotel the car arrived and the driver wanted full payment, I checked my emails and there I found an email saying there had been a mistake in Ccounts and the fee had not been paid. It also said I would get a refund in 3 days. So I had to pay for the car again at local rates. To cut a long story short, I never received any further communication and never received my refund from fastcar. I got a bit back through visa. Absolute swindlers! never use...

Not much to say. perfect service from the desk worker. Appologises because the car was damaged because of a hailstorm just a few days before. Complete explaination about the Insurance and car. And very friendly. Also didn't forget to give us free bottles of water.

Do not touch this company if you value your money and life. They take money no car say fleet issues then refuse to give back your money and totally ignore any contact. Business address is only mail forwarding address so you can not get or speak to anyone. Even British trading standards cannot get in contact. Nothing good about this company

Fastcarhire has been the only car hire firm we have used over 16 Cyprus holidays, however since car trawler has joined in, we on our holiday in May2014 were not amused by Dollar & their set up. 1 we were transported to a rundown yard 4K+ in a run down shuttle (torn seats, grubby, ink scribbles every where 2 charged airport tax why 3 hire car had bumps & scratches everywhere 4 car was larger than required 5 return to airport the shuttle did not return to take us to the terminal 6 eventually after becoming angered by there lack of concern & being possibly late for check-in we, I mean my wife & I & two other very large people were crammed into our hired car & eventually driven to our destination I will never use dollar car hire & recommend that no one else does this does not mean we will not be us fast car fire but will be selective as to the car hire firm we select

Agreed price at booking seemed very reasonable. Charged over £100 more on holiday (Croatia). Company said they were waiting for an email from Croatia before refunding - never happened. Took to small claims court - still waiting!! Court judgement in my favour as well.

Service was very very poor and personally stressful. The car and pickup was nothing as described by FastCarhire when I called to complain nothing happened to help me. I asked to speak to a manager I was transferred to a person who was supposed to look into it and call me back. I have heard nothing from him to date. I am totally fed up! Customer Service has been on copies of all my emails and I have heard nothing from then either.

they take your money and send you a so called voucher which is not accpeted by the rental company. Then they refuse refund! Beware and stay away!!!

.I was supposed to pick up a car at Don Muang airport on 11th December at 4.00 Pm .We were there at 3. 45 PM. At 4.20, still waiting. We called Thairentacar from tourist information office.They said we were late and the pickup was at 10 AM. I told them I had a voucher with 4 PM written on it . They wouldn't believe me. After 15 minute talking,they said they were sending a staff with a car. At 6, a girl turned up and handed me a phone.Someone said we had to go with the girl to their office in Bangkok. We answered that area was dangerous as , a few days before, people had been murdered in that area , a shopping plaza had been burnt down and a few buildings devastated and we wouldn't go there. The girl walked away without saying a word and we thought she was getting our car .30 minutes later, she wasn't back,so we phoned them again ant they said we told the girl to go away, which wasn't true as we never spoke to that girl.They said we had to go to their office for God knows what reason, if not, they wouldn't provide us with the car. So ,we had to take a taxi and drive one and a half hour to their office .We showed them the voucher and when they saw it had been issued by another company (Fastcarhire) they blamed it for not sending them the right flight details. We spoke to a lot of different people and none of them seemed to understand much. At that moment,it was 10.20 PM so we tried to make them understand it was no longer 29 days but 28 days. They didn't seem to realize that but we sort of understood they were giving us a complimentary free rental day and they made a new rental agreement for 15960 baht we all signed.I didn't check the amount as they had calculated it and it amounted to more or less 2 days fewer than on the original voucher. A few days later,I checked my bank account to find out that they had taken the equivalent of 15960 Baht from it , which so far was fair but 5 or 6 days later they took about 1200 more Baht from my account without any permission or even informing me and that in spite of article Number 16 of the rental agreement that says that the rental fee cannot be modified without the consent of both renter and rentee . I wonder how much more they can take from my account and I' m going to report them to Tourist Authority of Thailand. I hope you'll do something about it and I will certainly discourage all foreign tourists to do business with them.//

Sent us an e mail saying that Alamo did not have the car we had booked and that they would refund in ten days. 2 months and more later and still no refund and totally ignoring all communication. We re booked with someone else and low and behold Alamo had the car, lots of them infact!

Took full payment, advised week before travel that Alamo had fleet issues and they would provide refund within ten days. Four months later no refund and ignoring communications. Now in hands of solicitor. Lots of similar stories on the web about these guys. No facility to speak with a real person, total disregard for customer service. Avoid at all costs

Had very bad experience with fastcar hire . Took full money , no car , refuses I to return money calls or any contact . Told many times our money would be returned but 10 months on nothing. Have issued court proceedings now . Stay away from this company. Look at the many reviews where they have tricked people in the same way . Be warned
