Summary

The Dulux PaintPod roller system is hailed as being easy, fast and clean. Simply add your Dulux PaintPod emulsion pack into the machine, squeeze the trigger on the roller and start painting. It also has an integrated self cleaning system that automatically cleans the roller and PaintPod unit. What do you think? Is this the end to spilt paint and messy dried up roller trays? the first time I used the paint pod I did'nt think it was any good but as the walls needed a second coat I used it again about 3 hours later, this time it was great,I dont know if it was because the roller was slightly damp or not, but it covered brilliantly and I was using magnolia to cover bright orange paint on very uneven walls. It has covered the orange in two coats and I have done 2 coats on 2 walls and only used a quarter of a pot of paint. I wish that they made a smaller roller to get in ...

Bought for £35.00 from B and Q on special offer and used for the first time today. I have to agree with some previous reviewers ,read the instructions properly before you start and you will have no problems.I decorated a large kitchen in a fraction of the time it usually takes without dust sheets as there was NO splattering. I am looking forward to doing the staircase now.

just used my paint pod compact for the 1st time and it was fab, it was easy to use and i didnt even have to cover anything up, there was not a spot of paint anywhere apart from the walls....its so clean. I bought it from b&q and its on offer at the moment for 35.00 but you get the paint free which normally costs 30.00 :) my only negative about it is it would be good if you could buy smaller pots of paint as i only used half of the tub and it would be such a waste to throw it away, but luckily it ...

Just about to return a second paint pod as found it to be a complete waste of time and money.

Firstly the power cable needs a shove every once in a while (perfect for when your up a ladder) for it to power machine.

Then the machine decides how much paint it will let you have, which goes from not dispensing any one minute, too much the next resulting in drips everywhere.

When or if you manage to get to the cleaning cycle, be sure to have your ear defenders at the ready as your about to be deaf ...

We bought the paint pod and paint yesterday from B&Q We were after a soft brown paint checked the charts and chose the just walnut colour, on applying the paint was very pale and not at all like the colour on the chart. We took the paint back to the shop and they agreed and gave us another pod what a suprise it the same as the first one at £30.00 a pop its an expensive mistake. Buyers beware.

Junk. Heavy piece of kit for ceiling work, paint does not get distributed evenly. There's something odd about the 'sticky' paint (or the roller) such that if you go over the same place again it's just as likely to take it off as to put it on. Complicated to use (especially cleaning, which is inefficient and messy), results not worth the money. I am returning mine for a refund. What a waste of time! By the way - I think the Advertising Standards Agency might be interested in the misleading ...

    HI
The paint pod is a great idea ive just borrowed one to try is there any way you can use the empty pain packs and refill them with other paint have heard that as long as its matt it will work
At £30 for other than white and 5ltr ubs you can be left with quite a bit of paint you may not use which is a lot of paint as freind still had quite a bit left after doing 2 rooms and 2 coats
    any ideas on this

Works better with a colour paint but the brillant white is too thin and weak. I had to do about five coats of white over a light cream colour to cover it totally. On the clean cycle it doesn't clean the paint roller very well (just makes it very wet) - best to just do it the old fashioned way. You have to work at paint coverage as the paint tends to come out just in the middle of the roller and can be streaky if you don't spread it about. When on ladders and painting the top of the walls the ...

I must be very lucky or perhaps read the instructions properly before using the Paintpod, I found it extremely easy to use, no fuss no mess and used half the paint that I would normally use with a roller and tray. It cleaned beautifully (albeit I ran the cleaning programme twice) and there were no drips or mess anywhere. I NEARLY DIDNT BUY ONE BECAUSE OF THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS, I am so glad I did, took half the time I expected. I want to see the positive as well as the negative. By the way I purch ...

I bought a Dulux paint pod after hearing friends rave about them. I used "brilliant white" to paint the ceiling and found it very easy to use. It was a very quick process, dried quickly and there were no drips. The only negative was that we have high ceilings and the extendable handle (which I had to buy separately)didn't extend very much so I still had to use a ladder.

When it came to the walls we chose a colour which was not available in the limited range of special paint pod paints that ...

I purchased the paint pod as I find painting really messy with an ordinary roller. It worked for me no mess and I found it really quick and used half the amount of paint I would usually. Took me a few minutes to get the hang of it and the edging brush is fantastic.

The cleaning went well, I just had to rinse out the roller holder but took seconds to do and left it to dry, if I had wanted to use again straight away it would be a good idea to have a spare roller head which you can purchase. I ha ...

Please ignore all the bad reports - I have had this Dulux PaintPod Roller Systemnow for 8 months and decorated my whole home at the fraction of the normal time and cost.

I do not know that these people think??? It's going to paint the house for you??

Yes you still have to cut in like you would normally but the brush supplied is good quality and is designed well and makes the job easier.

Cleaning is also easier. It takes 2 cycles to ensure the paint is completely off the roller and it is a lou ...

I bought the Dulux Paint Pod for painting my entire apartment. I got it for £42 on a special deal in HomeBase, so a bit of a bargain compared to the £65 RRP. So far I have used it to paint two massive ceilings. There is a knack to using the paint pod as its quite different to using a standard roller and tray.

Firstly the paint is pumped onto the roller in a small trickle, so you really have to hold the button down whilst moving the roller until you have plenty of paint all over the ...

Got a Dulux paintpod roller system last week and was excited to try it out. Bought paintpod paint, very expensive and not much choice of colours, but was happy with what I purchased. Bought paintpod extension for doing ceiling and got ready to start. First bit of paint went on ok and then it stopped. Paint was not getting to roller and was taking forever. In frustration my partner went and bought a roller and paint and ended up doing the ceiling with this. When I tried to drain it the m ...

I am so dissapointed with Dulux. I have always trusted and used their products so when I saw the advert, I purchased the pod only to be thoroughly dissapointed with its performance. The roller olny lets out paint in the centre and coverage with white paint on white walls was patchy forcing me to abandon the project and run out to buy a traditonal roller and tray. What a waste!! shame on you Dulux!! this product does not do what it says it does!

I read all the reviews and despite the generally negative opinions I decided to buy a Dulux Paintpod anyway, I'm glad I did! I find it the best thing I've bought for a long time, quick, economical, with no mess. OK the cleaning isn't the best, I found you needed to do it twice to get everything clean, but hey, one only has to put 5 liters of warm water in the thing and press a button. Beats endless changes of water with a conventional roller and tray any day! It is a bit expensive initially and ...

I borrowed this Dulux PaintPod Roller System off a relative, who told me it would have the job done well, however, the paint selection was very limited, and thats just for starters. After its cleaned itself (which looks impressive, but is loud and not v efficient) it leaves the roller ABSOLUTELY SOAKING so you spend ages trying to dry it, or just use runny paint for the first 15mins next time you use.

Dulux PaintPod Roller System is a fantastic tool - needs two coats to cover properly but so did the old roller/paint pad method! Paint is more expensive but goes twice as far, no wasteage, no dripping and no mess - this system is great and I would recommend or demonstrate it to anybody.
Less colours available means less time deciding and less to disagrements with the wife over which colour is best!
It does need to be cleaned twice but no great hardship, I also manually clean out the roller at t ...
