“The sporty 4 wheel drive with pure class.”

My wife and I upgraded from the Q5 2.0L TDI S Line last year following a year of comfortable driving to the 3.0L V6 TDI S Line. What a fantastic car! The comfort is now backed up with real power whenever one needs it. With a great look it turns heads wherever we go. With the added luxury of Audi Exclusive two tone nappa leather interior, panoramic sunroof & Bang & Olufsen multi media system this car is dream come true.

Excelent built quality, tremendous engine, the MMI (on board computer/sat nav/radio) has a great software interface great confort and oustanding cruise control, but gosh I hate the gearbox; being a manualgearbox fanatic, I rather have an automatic transmition than this....
For me, it has the worse of a manual and the worse of an automatic: very hesitant from standstill (forget about a quick start between 2 cars) it downshifts when you're going down hill preventing the car to take some speed which makes you press the throttle earlier > less fuel economy.
Steering wheel padshift are useless.
Overall, the car is pleasant to drive, if you don't mind passive driving.

I have been waiting for the Q5 since I saw it as a cross over project. Looks a lot better that all it's compettion. Lower sleeker and more room! Those LED day time running light just make it. Lots of manufactures now following this lead by AUDI.

The Audi Q5 3.0 TDI V6 is very nice and very needed to replace the marked's X3 (ugly) and the bigger Q7 (way too big).

I have been struggling to find a worthy trade in for my Audi S4 Avant. The Audi Q5 3.0 Tdi S Line fits the bill.
Sporty looks, well proportioned, not too big (Q7) not too small (Tiguan) and enough grunt to keep the late night commute home interesting.

★★★★★

The new Audi Q5 is the gap-filler in the SUV line-up that Audi offer drivers. SItting nicely between the Q3 and Q7, the Audi Q5 is a luxury SUV intended to give the BMW X3 and the Land Rover Freelander a run for their money.
Audi will be offering the Q5 with both petrol and diesel engines, and the audi Quattro drive system in each model. Tiptronic gearing will also be available in some models, and new car owners will get bthe chance of sat nav, keyless entry, reversing camera and full leather interior for those who like a bit of comfort.
I give it 12 months from release before competitors are sweating and adding new refinements to their competing vehicles.
