    i was with quote a for 6 years, the first 4 years were find i had no problems, till i bought a newer car.

    i rang to change me car details and they charged me £156 stating my had bought a larger engined and newer car, they never sent out new documents. when i tried to tax the car online 6months later i was horrified to find out my car was not insured, i rang quote a and was told i supplied the incorrect details and i should of checked my none exsistant documents. i have now let the very badly run company and they still take money out of my account. i have just been on the phone to the useless customer services dept and was poken to very rudely, the guy didnt even let me speak before palming me off to another dept.

    the lady i was put thru to informed me that as i had not confirmed my cancellation(which i did when i get my renewal price)they could take my payment and i woulodnt be able to get it back unless i provide all my new insurance details. the staff are all so ill mannered and badly trained that when i refered to the company as dick turpin she didnt know what i was talking about.

    DONT USE THIS COMPANY ITS BAD FOR YOUR BANK ACCOUNT!!!!

    I went with this company for my first year of driving, I got insured with them on a provisional license. I passed my test and rang them to tell them to change me to full uk driving license, in which i was told i would have to pay £400 because if u pass ur test within 3 months you have to pay!. I wasnt told this so i told them to take it out of the wages of the person who didnt tell me.     I got a quote on quotea car insurance website which was a very cheap price it was at least £70 cheaper than any other insurer the only down fall was i was in a rush and it did not let me by online straight away so i called there office and spoke to a very helpfull man who needed to check through the quote he did mention it was coming through very cheap and that he needed to check it out just in case.     I changed my car. My current insurer Quotea.co.uk (Allen & Allen Group) requoted me for my new car but were far more expense than other quotes I had received. I therefore asked them to cancel my insurance. Even though my insurance had only run for just over 3 months of my £350 premium all Allen & Allen were prepared to pay me was £128.
