    I have hired a TomTom 1 unit from this company for 2 weeks holiday in France and Spain.
    Booking was easy and efficient, delivery very quick.
    But not only did the unit repeatedly send us the wrong way, it also lost its position more and more as the days went by , especially when we needed it most, which is when exiting motorways. The journey back from northern Spain to London saw us relying only on our maps as the unit never found its position for more than a few minutes at a time, although we were on the motorway nearly all of the way.
    What annoyed me most of all is the fact that after an initial email answer to my complaint, the customer service have ignored me, never contacted me again regarding testing of the unit and refund, and never answered the phone. NEVER EVER will I use them again and I shall warn people against them as I find this appalling.

    We hired the sat nav for use in Canada & the USA from cheap sat nav hire. Even though it lost signal on a number of occasions we couldn`t have done without it. The company delivered on time. No other problems, so overall very happy with the service & we would have no hesitation in using Cheapsatnav again in the future.

    Hired a Tomtom One for use in South Africa from cheap sat nav hire, what a god send, wouldn't have survived without it! Service from cheap sat nav hire was excellent, we just booked online and it arrived on the day it was due. Worked a treat and made our holiday that much more enjoyable and stress free. Will use again.

    I would have been very stressed on holiday without this sat nav from cheap sat nav hire. As I couldn't afford to purchase one right before my holiday this hire service was ideal; arrived on time, packaged well, good instructions for return, worked perfectly. Unbelievable value for money, great equipment and service. Very pleased! A great way of avoiding an expensive purchase if you only need it for a one off purpose.     Excellent service, arrived bang on time and they were very responsive when I had a few questions to ask. Equipment was like new and worked without fault or hitch in both the UK and USA. All in all a very good value for money service and I would recommend to anyone. Will use

    Recently received sat nav for holiday in florida , tomtom unit arrived as arranged and was a great help to us on a late arrival into a dark and wet orlando. Cannot fault service and will and have recommended to friends and family to use this company , i look forward to my next Cheap Sat Nav Hire.

    Even though the sat nav arrived on time when i used it in portugal it ran out of charge and the charger was not working. Therefore had to guess my way to my villa and not able to use on return journey.
    When told Cheap Sat Nav Hire they stated that it was working perfectly and i must have a dodgy car lighter.This was not the case and it was a complete waste of money. Will use different company next time!

    Great service from Cheap Sat Nav- item reached on time - was working without any problem - return instructions perfect . No issues at all - Quality and cheap priced service - shall definitely take it next time too.

    Excellent timing of delivery of satnav as agreed. Prompt reply to any inquiry or questions, before and after the hire period. The satnav worked in USA and Canada very well as promised. I would recommend all 'driving' tourist planning to travel to North America to seriously consider Hiring their satnav from the UK because the rental charge over there is a lot more. Very good value and good customer service from the cheapsatnavhire.co.uk.

    I have used the Cheap Sat Nav hire on three occasions now and each time it has been delievered without incident and has been easy to use and undoubtedly made my holidays in the UK hassle free. Only one criticism would be that it doesn't always seem to be updated and there are some roads I drove on which it didn't know existed. I don't know how often they get updated and this might be a consideration.

    Cheap Sat Nav Hire is a very good service - I hired for a weekend only and there was no extra charge for ensuring that the equipment arrived on a Saturday morning. Everything worked perfectly and the instructions were very clear.

    Be careful when ripping open the box though - you have to use the same one to return it!

    Don't forget to add the price of special delivery return postage (about £6) to the quoted price - some other companies include a postage paid envelope. However still good ...

    Cheap Sat Nav Hire is a great service. Sat nav actually arrived earlier than expected. Very easy to set up and use. Price very reasonable.

    Cons: Need to pay for postage to return sat nav (and the cost of this) isn't immediately obvious on website. (This is no different from competitors, but it would be useful to be up front about it)

    The Sat Nav arrived in plenty of time, nicely boxed with very clear instructions. Returning it was also easy.

    We used the Cheap Sat Nav Hire service when traveling around the USA as it worked out far cheaper than the $10 per day that the car rental firm would charge.

    The customer service was fantastic and the Sat Nav was all setup ready to go.

    Completely stress-free and would highly recommend!

    Excellent, prompt and efficient service with Cheap Sat Nav Hire. Only slight problem with actual SatNav was it became a little temperamental in the heat of Texas ( 107 degrees on some days!) but once cooled down it was ok.

    Delivered at stated time. Simple instructions and easy to return....and loads cheaper than some offered through travel companies.
    The SatNav was fine but the roads are different around Barcelona. Quick lane changes make you curse the SatNav when in fact it is only keeping up with the roads. I would advise caution checking the names of places. As the anglified ones are not always recognised. e.g. People visit Monserrat but the SatNav need Monistrol de Monserrat. However give the correct details ...

    Arrived exactly when due, worked perfectly in US, altho' it did take a good 6 mins to find satellites in California - just enough time for me to think it was faulty. Lesson learned... be patient when first using it abroad!

    I liked that I could hire same model I use here, so I knew what I was looking at on strange roads. No other company could even match the price I hired it for. Would use Cheap Satnav Hire again without checking out competitors, because the service was great and I know it wo ...

    Very reasonable cost - the cheapest I could find online;
    Product was easy to use and worked perfectly
    Instructions - installation and packaging/return instuctions were very clear

    Disliked:
    The necessity to return ALL paperwork/instructions to cheap sat nav hire - presumably so it could be re-used to keep costs down.
