Found the Econorent website by trawling the web and found them to be very competitive. When you see the name you have reservations but the service was very good, even a personal call prior to departure confirming your current requirements. I'd requested a 7 seater to carry 5 adults and luggage, specifying a VW Touran or similar vehicle. Arrived at Alicante to find the meeting point had moved from the van in the car park to a small office on the upper level and that I'd been allocated a Chrysler Voyager woohoo! The rep was helpful but my Spanish is Nil so I hoped I wasn't signing my life away on their forms. I was told to drop the vehicle back off empty ( though the web page now says full . The previous driver had scraped the offside which was understandable seeing how the locals drive and treat their vehicles! All in all a good experience.

We rented through arguscarhire.com and chose Econrent on value. We had heard that ALL car hire companies on the Costas were having trouble supplying vehicle because they had not been able obtain new inventory due to banks not lending, so we called and asked them to confirm that we would get the sought of vehicle we wanted e.g 7 seater. They confirme that there was no problem and rang us a few weeks before our trip to ensure that we still wanted the vehicle and once again confirmed that there was ...

Used Econorent in Alicante and Murcia and been looked after very well, availability of an Automatic had been important. However, almost every rental car we've used hasn't had a full supply of water for the windscreen. Overall I remain satisfied with Econorent and to their staff's respectfullness.

The good points were the return car and full policy. The bad points, The car needed a service (spanner sign constantly on on the dashboard) and the alternator bearing was going so the car made a constant whine. This problem was from the start of the rental (so not a new development). Request for a replacement car was turned down as they were sold out. We saved a bit by using Econorent but not enough to make up for the constant whine. The car should not have been sent out like this. We won't us ...

Guaranteed full/full fuel at Alicante & Murcia (using Econorent).
Only 16 euros excess insurance PER HIRE PERIOD covers windscreen, tyres, underside. Owner returns your emails promptly, even rings up if necessary. Cannot fault them. The way forward.

Having just returned home from Alicante I thought I would let people know that with a company called Econorent that I booked through hirecarsinspain.com you can return your car full of fuel which I know from reading other reviews is an important point in car hire in Spain.
Hire Cars in Spain and Econorent were really helpful from booking the car too collecting and returning the car.
