These are incredible, I speak to myself with them to make my life exciting. I once commanded alpha team to commence on the abandoned house by mine and it went as smooth as gez flowers' head. I loved the fact I thought I was a bad man using them like Stephen French himself. The good points are the fact you look so cool using them, and you head that crackle noise after letting go of the button which is spine tingling and reminds me of being back in Viet Nam. very good! have 2 my self go down road and we can hear each other very clear. i would recomend that you buy them and try them althogh i had 2 take 1 back to get a new battry in it but i have had em 3 years and am even playing with them today lol anyway do buy them very handy to speek to some on also my mum went in to market weighton and i was in pocklington and we could hear each other clear as day.

i bought these last year, ive had no problems with them great value for money, and very easy to use i definatly recommend these two way radios, i like everything about them, and enjoy using them i couldnt fault them! so if your think about buying them i definatly recommmend you get these! I wouldn't buy, VERY RUBBISH. Only used for 10 minutes from one end of my lounge to the other and still didn't work properly. I got another-still rubbish. I DON'T recommend this highly. Battery charging to long. Use to low-needs charging after 10 minutes. RUBBISH! (read more)
“I have been useing the Binatone terrain 550's for...”

I have been useing the Binatone terrain 550's for nearly two years now. They are in use every day when I or my wife walk the dog and they allow us to keep in contact over considerable distances. I have found that the range of these radios is very good. The squelch (receiver quieting level)is just about right and the received audio quality is excelent.
I am amazed at how well they work and how very usefull they are.
I recommend them very highly.

For some time now I have been trying to source some new batteries for my Terrain 550 Walke Talkies, unfortunately without successes.
My question is why does Binatone NOT support this product, which I notice reading on some of the forum sites is upsetting some people and is causing them to post negative remarks about Binatone products not being supported.
Which unfortunately is true.

The Binatone Terrain 550 is easy to use with a pretty good manual. Bought as a pair for cheap mootorbike to motorbike comms using a press to talk headset kit,so haven't really used the vox feature. I have used for two consecutive days on the bike without having to recharge. (read more)

Not a bad two way system considering the price.
Easy to use except for scrolling through menu's.
Great speaker makes it clear at range.
Overall I would recommend these radios for fun/light use.
If the batteries lasted just a bit longer, and the menu was easier, I would of given 8/10

There is allways ONE Idiot who trashes an item....!
I tried a pair of these out and no problem at all.
Clear as bell from 1/2 Mile away in another field from the Car Boot Sale my Brother bought them from and no problems to report at all.
If you could not use them even in your lounge, sounds like they had a fault, which is probably logical, but does not make them VERY RUBBISH, it makes them FAULTY!
