I think a few people are being a little harsh on this show. I mean do you know why the original was so much better? Because we were younger!! Seriously, watch it back, it was similar to the new one but we loved it anyway!

In my opinion it's entertaining for kids. As an adult however, I do find it pretty cheesy and there doesn't seem to be as many games as there once was.

I miss the music of the old show, and the glads of course. But I don't think this one is really that bad if you're a ten year old!

I enjoyed the original series from the 90s but I was cringing while watching this! Where to begin? To start the presenters are simply not showbiz material. The gladiators were not very good actors and some of their attempts to be the bad guy were simply laughable. Granted some of them have fine physiques but the whole persona was very artificial.
The action which I guess we watch it for was ok, the games were shortened and constant ad interruptions ruined the flow of the program. Some new events ...

There are no good points about the new Gladiators. It's all bad. Nothing like the original. Oblivion is trying way to hard to be wolfman. -10 out of 10. Bury it now.

Gladiators are all rubbish, Oblivion is a wannabe wolf man and doesn't even compare. Awful music. Pointless swimming element. Overall a cheap knockoff of a classic TV show.

What a shocker! Games are rushed, no atmosphere, glads are appauling and as for the music.....
Devastated this hasn't worked! I'd be embarrassed if was one of the original glads. It's small time compared to the old ones! Get it off the telly quick, I'd rather do gauntlet with no protective gear against the old glads than watch this!

Ok, I'm a big fan of the original series, and liked the old Gladiators as they we're pretty genuine. But what's with the 'fake' bad attitudes? They should call it the Wolf show featuring a few Gladiators. Sorry guy's but there was only 1 bad guy so stop trying to be him, it's very cringe worthy. Adverts every 5 minutes are tedious, which limits the games (not the worst thing though I guess). Same games pretty much every week, with nearly same Gladiators playing them. Overall it's a big disaster ...

Its an Embrassment compared to the old Glads, Honestly I wanted this to work so badly but they flopped it. i'm telling you now i can assure you that there won't be a second series.............I WISH THE 90s WOULD COME BACK AND NOT THESE FAKE COPY CAT SHOWs, I Hear There bringing back Blind Date

Was expecting this show to be the best of 2008 after loving gladiators so much before. But instead of the great entertainment, sportsmanship, good events and excellent presenting, we're left with boring games, lack of excitement, dull boring music, ridiculous gladiators and annoying presenters.

Well where to start, the gladiators themselves, most of them seem ok except for tornado, he seems to be trying too hard to be a bad guy and just ends up sounding a bit of a idiot . Then there is, you no what most of the bad points have already been mentioned and i cannot be bothered anymore, oh hang on a minute they have just stopped the travelator to let the contestants up ......OH DEAR........

One of the worst Tv Shows of the 90's is reborn into one of the worst Tv shows of the 21st century.
With so much awful Tv around at the moment like Big Brother,Britain hasent got talent,X,factor etc, It takes something truly awful to emerge as the stinking turd at the top of the Televisual latrine. Gladiators manges this superbly.

As a commenter said before , if it aint broke dont fix it.

Also, to put what was one of the top shows on a Saturday night at prime time... and to put it on Sky , 6pm on a Sunday..what a absolute complete joke.

People are fed as its work tommorrow, aren't in the mood as the weekend is over.

Whoever did the thinking for it all - you are bunch of idiots. Get it off our screens. Its Terrible!

Agree about the gladiators, you actually realy liked the old ones but the new ones are so mardy and tornado is the biggest idiot in the world!

Good to se an attempt to recreate the fantastic show, but the gladiators are such a let down it spoils the show for me.

Everthing is so poor! The Gladiators are rubbish, you might as well put Mr. Bean up for the games. The prog screams out cheapness. Sunday television has just got worse!

Whoever watches this & thinks it's g8 is a complete sado!

The whole show is dysfunctional, gladiators are awful, studio too small, games are shorter, smaller and well, just don't work. Health and Safety have definitley had a hand in this show. A big disappointment. TV event of the year...not
