    Good Points: Tons of information, tools, local vendors, and pretty much everything you could ever need to plan a wedding


    Bad Points: Too many ads, unpleasing and unintuitive site design and navigation, almost too much information that's difficult to find.


    General comments: The Knot pretty much has it all - BUT - there is so much information that searching through the thousands of pages to find what you need can be exhausting and stressful. I don't need a list of 500 local caterers to sort through, I just want a manageable list of the area's best. I don't need 25 articles on invitations - just give me the basics in 2 or 3 steps. The site is completely cluttered with links, ads, images etc. that it's difficult to narrow in on the information you're looking for.

    The knot is a great community for gathering inspiration and ideas for your wedding. Beyond that, there are forums to find brides that are real and getting married in the same months and years as you. You can go to specialized forums for things such as writing your own vows to etiquette questions. If that's not enough, there are plenty of tools such as budgeting help, checklists, and guest organization. You can look over member bios for more ideas on top of the countless photos on the site.
