Our family of 4 from Los Angles, USA took Swiss Special tour on August 16, 2014 through august 19, 2014. This tour was designed for 4 days and itinerary was compact with lots of places to visit. The bus diver, coach and Tour Manager were excellent. The places we visited were excellent, beautiful, very unique places to visit. “It's descent for the price but can be better”

We just returned from 14 day majestic Europe tour and I promised Adi, our tour manager that I will give me feedback. I will give feedback in different areas as they are all different. Sightseeing - the trip was pretty good in packing many different places in various cities. I don't think we would have seen so many places without a guided tour. Was very excited about this tour as itinerary looked good covering most of interesting sites. Enjoyed very much Jungfrauch Titlis Luzern and Geneva . Driver was excellent , driving was within speed limits and smooth. Personally he was always smiling and courteous and helpful with luggage all the time. Unfortunately can't say the same for tour manager Mr N Sethna. He was not at all courteous abrupt at times and changing plans three times one day due his lack of knowledge. “Treasures of Europe 3rd may to 11th may2014”

The tour is well organised except poor quality of hotel stay in Rome italy,in the sense that: 1.Fairdeal mercides bus is comfotable and the Andria driving n behaviour is good.one improvement requires is inside bus atleast one full cleaning after every 2 or 3 days required..that is lacking.. 2.Tour manager Neeraj is organised and takes care of washrooms requirement and passengers carefully. The 14 day tour across 7 countries in Europe. It was well organized with enough time to see the places/ monuments that are part of the published itinerary. Food and accommodation was good though I found it very odd that International hotels across Europe provide the same breakfast to the customers. Bread, scrambled eggs, bacon, croissant, cereals, tinned fruits, yogurt. When I go on my own to these countries, I will never stay in these hotels for their breakfast is so boring. Treasures of Europe - July 22 to 31. Good Things - Great food, vegetarian, on all days. “Majestic tour July2013 with Addi”

The tour was pretty good over all. The management was done excellent by our tour manager. The best part of the tour was the night tour of Rome and Paris in which we got a lot of extra knowledge about the cities from Addi. We took this tour on 02 July 2013.This was a 6 day tour,which could easily have been a 5 day,if properly organised. We wasted lot of time in Venice and Milan.....in Venice after the gondola ride we wasted over 4 hours sitting around in hot weather doing absolutely nothing. “Good trip, well organized”

It was great trip to Switzerland, Germany, and Paris. We enjoyed a lot. Mr.Rajesh, our tour manager explained everything in advance, it helped us to follow properly at tourist places. Timing was also well covered. I would like to add one more thing here. For any organization after sell service is very important. I didn't see this service in Start tour. We at Star Tours are naturally concerned when any of our clients have cause for complaint. Upon reviewing your correspondence, we believe that an elaboration would be appropriate.

Regarding your stay at Engelberg we ensure all our passengers are put up in either a 3* or a 4* Hotel. At no point would we promise to put passengers in a specific hotel as these would be subject to availability.

We have asked the hotel management at HC Central to look into the matters that you have raised concerns about regarding wet plates and no one being available at reception.

We have been using the services of HC Central for several years now and have not received complaints regarding the hotel or the food however we will keep the points you raised in mind in case we receive similar complaints and act accordingly.

Thanks for your reply.
I can understand that there was no commitment for the stay on ramada, but you promised atleast a 3* hotel, and although hc central might have got the star rating, but condition of the hotel during our trip was really horrible, and it looked like cleanliness and hospitality was least of the hotel staff's concern. I have travelled abroad on quite a few occasions and atleast know which hotel has maintained the 3* standards,

I do apologise If you felt disappointed at me writing my concerns here, but i guess that is what this site is for, reviews coming straight for the horses mouth. I would have raised concerns with you personally, but to be honest, I was expecting Star Tours to send me a courtesy email asking for any concerns which I didn't. So I had to vent out my disappointment somewhere and found this link from your website.

We travelled with Star tours UK discover Europe ( joined t tour in Brussels directly from India) 1. T one point which stands out of t entire trip was t tour manager who was wit us for first few day's. I recommend anybody who wants to travel see t great cities of Europe it is must to see it with t best tour manager. We are pleased to hear you were happy with the tour manager who was with you for the first few days and the tour manager did whatever possible to keep your family happy and entertained.

All the hotel bookings and the transportation are organised by Star Tours and the invoice given to passengers confirms the services provided by Star Tours including hotels, restaurants, entry to sight seeing, pick up points and drop off points as per the passengers requirements..

The pick up points are arranged for passengers at their request and all the addresses for the pick up points would be agreed upon by both yourselves and Star Tours whilst doing the booking or before your departure from your country of origin. These pick up points are designed to work within the limitation we face logistically and easy of passengers in order to fulfill the days itinerary. The reason for the delay was down to the coach being allocated a later ferry then the one we were originally booked to board due to heavy traffic on that specific weekend.

All the coaches deployed by Star Tours have air suspension which is lowered as much as possible to the ground to assist passengers to get on or off the coach with relative ease.

All the tour managers employed are given the same training and have been working for Star Tours for a long period of time. We ensure that the tour managers are fully competent of running a tour on their own accord. The times given to passengers by the tour managers are to ensure that all the points on the itinerary are covered and also keeping in mind the driving hours that have to be adhered to set out by VOSA. The driver is not permitted by law to travel over certain hours hence the tour managers have to allocate specific times for photo stops and comfort stops.

The breakfasts which we serve are indeed of a extended continental nature and usually consist of Selection of Breads, selection of Juices, croissants, Milk (hot & cold), Butter, Jam, fruits, Yogurt, Tea & coffee, Cereals and Eggs (although this does vary from country to country and hotel to hotel). We do not mention anywhere about provision of Indian breakfast as this is not always possible all the time although we have provided this in the past and will continue to do so wherever possible to enhance the experience of the tour.

The points of interest would not be changed because of an individual request however we do mention in the brochure and on our website the points of interest are subject to be covered on a different day rather than the day mentioned. We ensure all the points are covered and any change would be due to the driving hours as we mentioned earlier or by the tour manager to run the itinerary in a smooth manner.

The drop off points operate in the same manner as the pick up points and would be agreed to upon by both Star Tours and the passengers. If you required extra accommodation within Paris we would have been able to book that for you as per your request as it is something we do for other passengers regularly. We are confident if it was brought to our attention even on the same day we would have gladly assisted you with the extra nights you required.

We at Star Tours always try to arrange tickets to the Eiffel Tower before the tour embarks. As you can appreciate it is a wonder of the world visited by millions of people from around the world so the tickets are subject to availability when trying to book in advance.

“Participants interest not fully taken care”

I was in the discover Europe without Disney for 9 days which started on the 27th of April and ended on 5th. Tough overall I appreciated the trip the sightseeing at Holland was a disaster. Me and my family of 7 people took Majestic Europe Tour (14 Days), the tour was good and we had loads of fun. The tour was well organised and we had a pleasant tour overall. Just came back from the Spectacular Spain Trip, that finished on 07 Jun'12. It has been a mixed experience. Compared to the previous tours I had taken with Star Tours (this being my 3rd) - it actually fell below expectations in some crucial areas. Have to agree with my co passenger on many of the things especially with regards to the tour manager. It is after all a"HOLIDAY". Not a school picnic where you're scolded for being late. You're supposed to be lazy, relaxed and enjoy your holiday. Not get reprimanded for doing what YOU want to do on YOUR holiday. I'm afraid Star Tours will have to periodically appraise / monitor their tour managers and even have some basic training programmes for them. The company of like minded holiday makers as my friend has pointed and the fact that Spain is such a wonderful place and of course the driver made us forget all these and have a wonderful time. This has seriously hampered our image of Star Tours. So as per the precious comment, they better pull up their socks, rather quickly.
