Good Points: Eva did a wonderful job including specific details on memorable things such as feelings, sensations, smells, and the simple kindness of the world after her escape.
General comments: Eva's Story is a remarkable tale of a teenage girl stuck in the brutal world of the Auschwitz death camp. I was completely baffled with the events in which Eva described, but unlike many stories of the holocaust Eva's is her own. She lived through it under the most extreme circumstances, and has been brave enough to share her courageous nightmare that she and her amazing mother survived through. I now am the same age Eva was when her world was controlled by the Nazi Germans. I cannot even begin to imagine living through the horrific times that she did. Eva Schloss is a true survivor of the Holocaust, as well as her remarkable mother Fritzi Frank. They came together to write this story, not only as mother and daughter, but as survivors as well. Together they tell their tales in their own perspective giving a vivid image of their long journey to freedom and survival. Eva's Story is a miracle of God.
