    just travelled with Air Baltic via Riga to Rome and back. the only good things were that there was above average leg room and 3 out of 4 flights were on time. chose based on price and booked on internet. the moment I clicked 'proceed to pay' I got a notification that the price must be recalculated as cheaper tickets might be sold out etc. Upon recalculation the ticket price per person was the same but the total for 4 adults and 2 children increased by over EUR 100 in taxes! as we were already close to travel dates, and alterative offers were at the same price level, decided to proceed. I really haven't read luggage rules before booking but in the future I will. It then appeared that luggage was EUR 10 per item each way. The weight restrictions are also ridiculous (members of one family were moving things from one bag to another at checkin because one item cannot weigh more than 20 kg, additionally you cannot take 2 bags of 10kg instead). thought that they surely would not charge for the collapsabile child trolley (just 2y 1m), ended up paying EUR 52 for trolley transportation as did not purchase luggage upon booking (made several calls and sent e-mails to customer support, got contradictory information several times, overall responsiveness was zero) .checkin was problematic both ways as they claimed that I had confirmed upon booking that the infant of the other family is my child (although sharing the other family's family name :) and they cannot check in the infant without me). Specifically asked to be seated next to each other, got seated 1o rows away from my child. On the way back our checkin alone took 15 minutes (claimed that I had spelled as ae and again the infant problem). Again was not seated next to each other but was able to swap. must admit that on the last flight they moved us to business class seats to enable seating next to each other, also the staff in Rome allowed me to take thr trolley to the gate (as my child was sleeping inside). Only service on board was a class of juice on tallinn-riga-tallinn flight, all else is subject to charge. on the way there they had also removed storage pockets from seats (probably they have less to clean this way). On the way back flight was delayed 1 hour probaly due to weather but we did not receive any information on the plane (the captain muttered smth about 45 min after scheduled departure but it was impossible to make out what he was saying). On one flight the flight attendants enjoyed themselves in business class reading a book! I will most probably not be a returning customer.
