I bought myself the Yamaha R125 after looking at loads of other bikes the CBR was too skinny and looked like a 125, the mito and aprilia's are incredibly unreliable and time consuming and sound a bit tinny. The R125 is a fantastic 4 stroke 125 and sounds quite good. You get a little Yamaha tool kit which has saved me before now.
I came off due to my own lack of concentration and thanks to the crash bungs the only damage suffered was the clutch lever moved round a bit which I easily fixed. The cr ...- Read Raxs's review (161 words)

I've had my Yamaha R125 now for 5 days and managed 600 miles keeping the rev's low , straight away you should see how good the bike is. It is so much fun to ride that iv managed my suggested 600mile break in already !The fuel econemy is great 300miles to a tank. im getting 70 out of mine in 6th with still 3k revs to go. A friend of mine owns a CBR 125R and after riding that bike for 20 mins i felt uncomfortable , im 6ft and 14 stone and i dwarfed the bike. It was like a mini moto. However the Ya ...- Read Guest's review (153 words)

Yamaha R125 beautiful bike. Amazing for only a 125cc. Also not bad price for a bike like this.
Amazing handling for a 125. Good fuel economy. Sharp breaks. Good acceleration and break response. Good on both dry and wet road conditions.- Read Guest's review (52 words)

Engine can sound a little tappety? 6th gear could be alot better. Fairing panels seem pricey! - £130 odd pounds for the main panel (it's white on the yellow yzf) and £90 odd pounds for the stickers for that panel! Ouch! Servicing seems a bit pricey too, I'd recommend getting ALL that is supposed to be done on the service as the parts are only about 20 quid for oil and filter, and the 09 bikes have just gone up in price by about £300
The Yamaha R125 is a good bike to learn o ...- Read acathlar's review (152 words)

I've had my R125 for about 2 months now and done just over 1000miles on it. I ' ve had to use it in all weathers and for many different occasions, and no matter what the situation is I can ' t fault it. When I take it out for a blast around country lanes, it accelerates sufficiently, corners beautifully, and I've had 85mph out of it so far on flat ground. On the other hand, when I ' m just using it for going to work or popping to town, its easy to handle in traffic and is very economical with fu ...- Read bikerchick1990's review (191 words)

Done a couple of thousand miles on my Yamaha R125 and love it, the handling is fantastic, very confidence inspiring for a learner (once you get used to the supersport riding position), I do a lot of riding in the wet and can confirm the Michelin Sporty's provide excellent grip when scrubbed in. The bike looks absolutely stunning, and garners many, many compliments, it cannot be stressed enough how good the styling is, partially in blue. You will get around 85 - 100 miles to the gallon and the bi ...- Read brevans's review (190 words)

I ' ve had my r125 for 5 weeks now and I love it the looks the handling r excellent. Fuel consumption is good. The only problem I had was the seat height as I ' m short. All things considered the best all rounder in the 125 sector, if you ' re in the market for a 125 get the Yamaha - you won ' t regret it.- Read richardc412's review (71 words)

One of the reasons why I bought this bike is because it's very cheap. Its quite cheap to buy from brand new, to fuel it is VERY cheap and not too bad to maintain. If you use a scotoiler it becomes even more maintenance free and excellent for the inner city commute. After owning two 600cc bikes however, I do find it quite slow. That is to be expected from a 125. But, my Thundercat and my CBR F-Sport never received as many compliments and 'thumbs up' from other riders quite like the R-125 has rece ...- Read muz360's review (154 words)

Ive got it for 2 weeks now, done just 120 miles because of ugly weather, i never drove the motorcycle before and i already learned everything on this one, well basics, counter steering, balancing in 1mph, tailgating cars :) (just joke), would like som more power for overtaking but as i am novice i have to take it slowly but its difficult some times ;) Lovely bike, good buy new for 3079 otr.- Read Guest's review (75 words)
