General comments: This is a review for the XBOX 360 version of Civilazation:Revolutions. It is a console port of the classic and brilliant PC game series, that has spanned almost two decades and entertained millions of PC strategy buffs. Essentially, you are asked to lead your chosen civilisation through history, starting at the dawn of human civilisation, and ending with the exploration of space era, in the near future. You will manage your nation's technology research, exploration, religion and politics, diplomacy and economy, and let's not forget the most important aspect, WAR!!! The game is designed in a way that none of the above is too complicated or boring to deal with; but if you put in some extra thought, it will definately pay off. You can win the game in several ways, depending on what sort of focus you have as a leader. You can invest in military techs and be an aggressive conqueror, or spend on science and culture and be the first to colonise space or build the United Nations. The choice is yours. Throughout the game, you have to build up and protect your cities, as they are the hubs of power and wealth. You will need to exploit natural resources and make the most out of your technological advantages.

Civilization:Revolutions is a brilliant conversion from the PC civ games, making it more accessible and presentable to the average console gamer, easier to get to grips with, but without losing any of the incredibly addictive gameplay. The presentation and sound are pretty good too. I have not yet tested the multiplayer modes, however they sound very appetising as long as you have 3-4 hours to spend on-line!
