I have had a scooter for 6 years and then bought a 125 bike and did a CBT elsewhere. I've been riding this bike for about 10 months before I did a 4 day course with NLMT. I did Saturday, Sunday and Monday (Mod1) with one instructor and then had a gap of about 4 weeks before doing my Mod2 with another. Not having ridden for a few years and with my Theory expiring in 4 weeks, I needed to find a good training school and I came across North London Motorcycle training school on this site (hence being back to add my review). I asked NLMCT to book my Mod 1 and 2 asap for the same day with a buffer zone for any repeats needed. My experience here was amazing. Friendly, prompt, professional and re-assuring. These guys provide a friendly service that will release any pressure/nervousness you entered with and it is eradicated so well you don't even realise it's happening. All of the training and advice did not only include how to pass the test, but what you need to do to ride safely in the real world. I did my CBT and after that I did a 4 days course with North London Motorcycle Training. Not just I passed CBt, but I passed Mod1 and Mod2 practical exams in one go! The instructors are very well prepared and will make you feel very confident for your test. I was a beginner and I've been trained with respect. I found the CBT training excellent. The instructors were very friendly but to the point (which I prefer) and the pace of learning was good too. I am a slow learner but the instructors didn't rush me in anyway and they made sure I fully understood my mistakes and we repeated the exercise until I no longer made the mistakes. I learnt to ride from start to finish with this school. The staff were fantastic and helpful. They took me through my CBT and DAS. I enjoyed every minute and passed first time. It's not often that you find learning a very relaxing experience. Yes, I had the odd issue with certain manoeuvres but their approach was calm and relaxed. I did a 5 day DAS course, as suggested by them. At first I thought it was excessive, I had heard from some friends that it could be done in 3 days, but in the end I am glad I had 5 days of instruction. There is always something you can learn, in my fourth day my instructor could find only minor faults, but every detail counts. In the end this was not just for the licence, but to ride safe for life, and 5 weeks and 7k miles later I am still alive in Turkey, on my way to Tbilisi! (read more)

Anyway, you should definitely try this company, not only have they got very friendly instructors, but it's the right bang for your buck. Nowhere else can you find it this cheap with this quality. This has to be the best motorcycle training company in London, all the staff are helpful, friendly and most of all they welcome you in with open arms. Just before my final test we went to a cafe and relaxed to ease the nerves, I got to say I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. I cannot say enough good things about North London Motorcycles (NLM). I chose NLM as my husband got his licence through them a few years ago. I was a complete bike novice and distinctly remember the first day of my CBT when I looked and felt like a rabbit caught in headlights. “6 Day DAS; comprehensive training and great experience”

In under a month I've been able to go from virtually no motorcycle experience to a full license and riding a bike daily. I got to ride a variety of motorcycles, which were all in excellent repair. Spare bikes were available in the event of accident or breakage. I used my own protective clothing although a full range was available to borrow from the centre. Can't praise north London Motorcycle Training enough! I did a 4 day DAS: The training is extremely comprehensive and sets you up for confidently passing your tests. All the instructors are attentive to what training you need most. You will be taught accordingly. Beyond this though I learned vital and invaluable riding skills for riding after my test. Very friendly and professional staff. Instructors have a really high expectations from trainees, but it is all worth it! I did 5 days DAS and passed both modules at the first time. They're not the cheapest I'm afraid, just about average London prices, and it was annoying to wait for them in the morning when I was ready to go, then lots of brakes... Hi, I attended NLMT firstly on a saturday to do my CBT. Which was done really well and being able to do it at the weekend is a real bonus. I then started my DAS on a big bike, which was a great bike to learn on, smooth and powerful and easy to ride.
