The CBT course was superb, relaxed and really enjoyable, West Pennine Motorcycle Training have a unique style of teaching, which makes it fun but very educational, which is exactly what you need as a beginner as the whole experience can seem very daunting from the outset. I have gained confidence in all aspects of biking. I am overjoyed with the results I have achieved . I am more then happy to speak to anyone if you want to discuss anything further. Went to West Pennine Motorcycle Training because I had been with previous schools but was not really progressing. The school took everything back to the basics, laid new foundations and got me up to test standard. I now have my A2 license, my new bike and riding. Cannot say how pleased I am, and can only thank the team at West Pennine for their encouragement and training. Easy going, friendly and professional. Booked my CBT with West Penine in Blackburn as it is local to me and I had been recommended to try them from a family member. After a brief introduction to the owner and the instructor who would ultimately look after me for the day we got straight to it with the checking of the paperwork. Now being 48 years old and not having been on a bike in years you can imagine I was a little nervous to start with. However the excellent instruction and pace of learning soon took care of that. West Pennine was recomended to Me by a Freind who had recentley passed a Test with them. I was very nervous, because I had never ridden a Motorbike before, or driven a Car. My Instructor was very Freindly, putting me at ease straight away. I dropped the Bike a couple of times to start with, but the Instructor persuaded me to get back on and try again. My Instructor's Patience finally paid off, as I started to feel more Relaxed, I was able to complete more complex exercises. By Lunchtime I had... (read more)

After having completed my CBT a couple of months earlier, I undertook a 6 day (residential-B&B included) training course with West Pennine, in December 2012. I travelled up to Blackburn from Kent, (it was a lot cheaper to train 'up north') and I would recommend the training experience to anyone. West Pennines instructors are all great guys. Beware if you get the boss, Dave - he's a perfectionist and if you don't do it right he'll make you feel rubbish and belittled, or maybe he just doesn't like females riding bikes. Steve and Alan are really good, they'll tell you if you've done something wrong but will always finish on a positive so you keep in the right frame of mind.
