I received an email to advise me my flight schedule had changed, and I must reply by email to acknowledge this and request new updated tickets. I received an email acknowledging my request and was advised that if I didn'4 receive my updated tickets within 72 hours to contact your customer services dept. “Various Flight Cancellation/change Difficulties”

The airline cancelled one of my flights and Travel Up rep (Dimple Edwin) only suggested one option alternative. Travel Up emails were difficult to reply to technically speaking whatever computer I used. Felt reps command of English was not up to the degree of difficulty of my problem. My flight was amended by the airline to which the travel operator did not Try to accomodate my requests,ie I didn't want my travel time to be over 13 hours- she told me I had to call the flight operator directly. There were Back and forth emails asking for the same flight on a different day, I asked for other options and she didn't bother trying to help. Trying to get through to anyone is a pain, by email they are fine, but over the phone it is hard to be understood properly. In all honesty I would not recommend these guys to anyone. I can not understand why it would be so difficult to change the dates of the flights I wanted with a small admin fee. I do it for work all the time which is why I can not understand how this is not possible within a travel agent. Bought a ticket via Travelup having found them on Skyscanner. Good price and e-ticket arrived promptly. However, when the airline rescheduled the connecting flight, rendering the schedule unviable, I was offered a refund. The refund was less than I paid, due to the deduction of charges, and TravelUp then said that it would take 8 weeks for the refund to take place. I called up and I was quoted £466. The day I was told to call the flight advisor turned out not to be in the office. After about three hours someone managed to find my reference on the systems and eventually I was told that I would have to pay £512 because there was a debit card surcharge. This is odd as it clearly states that surcharges are only for credit cards- it's also fairly illegal. while their price was very good the booking and payment process was longwinded, several emails and phone calls. My real problem began when I needed to change the return dates. This took several international call over 2 weeks, I was initially I was ignored, then fobbed off with comments that Qantas wouldn't allow the changes etc which was untrue. I was told wrong flight dates so I went to the gatwick which is 2hours from where I live only to be told there was no flight that day. Travel up customer service team were so unhelpful and a woman even banged the phone on me and my partner. We were stranded and had to eventually call multiple times and was helped by the flight company to get another flight that evening but had to travel back to Heathrow. I used travelup to book tickets to Detroit. After I had paid, I got an email telling me my booking had been cancelled due to technical issues and that I would receive a refund. Two or three days later, I was contacted by a staff member who explained the problem (the airline changed the fees--and I don't understand or accept why travelup would sell me a fare they can't honour) and got me a new booking at the same price. Having booked and flown with hundreds of travel companies and airlines I decided to give travel up and vietnam airlines a go....I fly to asia many times a year and this flight meant aprox 10 hour stopover in ho chi min city. started on skyscanner where i was looking to book a return flight to Bangkok, was given the travel up site to book through. As skyscanner is a trusted site which gave you no hidden fees but took you right to the airline i was disappointing to see that my tickets had gone up by almost 50 pounds. After filling in passenger details and clicking to go onto the payment i was brought onto a page with 'unexpected errors' meaning i had to refresh my whole search again. We made a mistake in our booking and the penalty for changing a leg of the flight was £300. On top of which we were not allowed to book at the same prices available on the internet as the phone assistant "couldn't see those prices" and only had available ones in excess of £300 more expensive. “Time changes and airport changes”

Completely disappointed in Vietnam airlines. We firstly have had time changes which meant I had to go to London one day before and book an hotel. They then changed the time again, where it wasn't necessary for me to go the night before. I had already made this reservation of the hotel and had to pay additional £140 for changes made to my connector flight. The airline then changed the departure airport. I was directed to this site from Kayak to book a business class flight from Manchester to Melbourne. Yes the price was good, and yes the booking was made, but queries after that received contradictory or non relevant answers. Email replies showed a poor command of English and a telephone enquiry received a completely opposite reply to an email. I have used Travelup since 2011 and their service was certainely better then than now. I Normally book with them 3 to six times in a year for both myself and friends.
