“Worst travel agent”

Impossible to speak to. I wondered if this agency was based in India? Some agents sound as if you are speaking via long distance connection. It cost me over thirty pounds in calls to try and change my daughter in laws ticket. I tried to re book my husbands flight but was told my refund would take six weeks and I would be charged a fee!!!!!!! Even though the flight change was done by the airline. “Worst Customer Service Known to Man”

Had my flight changed recently to a date which is totally impossible for me. Over a week gone, 17 phone calls, numerous emails and still no one has been able to speak to me about this issue. The customer service is shocking. Trust me, if I had to book a flight again I would avoid this company at all costs. Don't waste your time and money on this agent. First time to book a flight with them and 3 weeks later they emailed that they have changed my flight.. Why why why. Booked 6 flights to Orlando back in Feburary with Travel Up. Usmin was very helpful and the booking process was perfect. March I was contacted re a flight change for half the party as the flight I was booked on had been cancelled. “ Awful Company!!!!!! ”

This company is just awful. Booked flights to New York and the return flight has changed 3 times. We are now returning 2 and 1/2 days later than we want to, which is no good as we are due back at work. Tried to discuss with them and change our return flight and got no help what so ever. I can't think of any other industry whereby a product (our flight) is changed by the retailer (TravelUp) and the retailer charges the customer (me) £300 because we cancelled it, despite rebooking a different flight through them, because otherwise we would have lost a day's holiday. Very disappointed with TravelUp, will not use them again. My boyfriend and I have booked a flight via TravelUp, unfortunately their T&C does not specify what is included or not. After we made a booking, we have found out that seats were not allocated together and the only way for us to sit next to each other was to contact airlines directly and pay extra £300. “Abyssmal. Avoid at all costs.”

Dont even bother. * Hotlines are manned somewhere with non-native english speakers, which makes communication a problem. * When you do get through to someone, you get put through to multiple people and eventually get put into someone's voicemail. * The hotlines for 'emergencies' are personal numbers for, assuming 'heads of' who are in the same boat as the customer service reps. * Offers no compensation whatsoever or even the slight bit of empathy regarding any cancellations or changes to… Read Full Review

My flight was rescheduled. TravelUp did not offer any other options, just cancelled the flight. They offered a refund, but refused to refund the credit card charges and - 4 weeks later - I am still waiting for a refund of the money from Travel Up. They say it could take up to 8 weeks. To begin with there was a charge for credit cards, when debit cards were used it was rejected for some reason! Is this a trap so that people will use credit cards!! When credit cards were used then there was an additional verification needed from your own bank!! And travel-up presumed that getting in contact with banks abroad would be the easiest thing (during non-working hours!!). Service has been terrible from start to finish. they sent me an email saying there had been a change to my flight schedule which is fine, I accept that these things happen. But the email did not make it clear that I had to reply with an acknowledgement so it was only a week before that they sent a follow up. Booked flights from Gatwick to Orlando. Reasonable price and got e tickets quickly. However, the flights are booked through travel up who book with Nowegian Airlines who book with British Airways. As they say ensure you get all details right at time of booking because if you want to make changes Travelupmwill not do the simplest of changes that airlines will do direct often without charge.  traving in july 2016 just 10days before kid graduates just found out my son is graduating in july asked em to forward ticket just after graduation date the chap says need to pay another £280 seats are still available when normal to forward they charge £75.00 if u cancel they charge £430 from ticket and pay u whats left now is that not day light robbery....would nt advise any 1 to buy ticket of these lot stick to u re local company book with them ask em same question if need to move tickets… Read Full Review

Have used them previously on a flight to NY and was fine. BUT the problems start if you have to contact the customer service team in any way. If you call you get passed around from person to person and end up put through to an answering machine (which they will never call you back). Had them promise they would call me back but they never do. Staff are rude and incompetent. We booked 4 flights to Sri Lanka to travel on 24 Mar 2016. At 5.24pm on 17 Mar, 4 working days before departure, Travel Up emailed saying that our flights had been cancelled and we were booked on flights a day earlier each way. Found flights through Skyscanner, and despite the price going up once on the Travel Up website, it was still less than going direct, so I booked.
