“Been ripped off by travel up”

Booked a flight for August, me and my partner both checked the dates and we were sent a confirmation with different dates. Travelup said that they couldn't change the dates, names or even a partial refund. Lost £1130, there are a couple of other people online who this happened to the week before. Booked flights from Gatwick to Orlando. Reasonable price and got e tickets quickly. However, the flights are booked through travel up who book with Nowegian Airlines who book with British Airways. As they say ensure you get all details right at time of booking because if you want to make changes Travelupmwill not do the simplest of changes that airlines will do direct often without charge.  traving in july 2016 just 10days before kid graduates just found out my son is graduating in july asked em to forward ticket just after graduation date the chap says need to pay another £280 seats are still available when normal to forward they charge £75.00 if u cancel they charge £430 from ticket and pay u whats left now is that not day light robbery....would nt advise any 1 to buy ticket of these lot stick to u re local company book with them ask em same question if need to move tickets… Read Full Review

Have used them previously on a flight to NY and was fine. BUT the problems start if you have to contact the customer service team in any way. If you call you get passed around from person to person and end up put through to an answering machine (which they will never call you back). Had them promise they would call me back but they never do. Staff are rude and incompetent. We booked 4 flights to Sri Lanka to travel on 24 Mar 2016. At 5.24pm on 17 Mar, 4 working days before departure, Travel Up emailed saying that our flights had been cancelled and we were booked on flights a day earlier each way. This is totally unacceptable - the new flight is at 9.30 am on 23 Mar, a school day and both my husband and I are working. The return flight is on day 3 of a 3 day safari at the end of our trip. Booked a flight through TravelUp for my family to Florida. Info you get from them is limited and it made no mention of the fact we would have to get seats allocated on our flights. Found flights through Skyscanner, and despite the price going up once on the Travel Up website, it was still less than going direct, so I booked. The office I needed to change a flight was closed there for I couldn't take my flight I then had to rebook flights with someone else When I got back I asked for a refund which I was told by the airline I could have but this company told me I was aloud £22 for myself and £12.50 for my son when my flights cost £1550 for use both .... Oh my gosh! Do not use this company! Totally uncaring, unhelpful, and untrustworthy. NEVER use this company. They are horrific! The are rude, and disorganised. “Totally unhelpful when things go wrong”

Be very careful with this company, if something goes wrong they will do anything rather than sort out your problem (and our problem was nothing to do with us). They can be rude and unhelpful. When you call them direct it sounds like they are operating from someone's front room. Not professional at all. At first, booking through Travel Up seemed to be a great idea. The price was as cheap as I had found anywhere else on the internet and the tickets and confirmation were delivered promptly. These guys are bad, if you have a grievance you cant get past a foreign helpdesk on the phone, and they don't respond to e mails for days and days at best. I had to cancel my parents air fares due to serious illness, and they only refunded half the cost, despite a letter from Qantas to them authorising a full refund! I bought a ticket for the 26 November but they only confirmed it for 26 December. And now they won't agree to their mistake and they say if I want to change my ticket I have to pay £600 when it's free with virgin active. When I call they put me on hold for one hour or they cut me off. They are total frudsters never would use them or recommend them. They are absulutally rude and unhelpful. My parents booked flights to visit my Brother for Christmas 2015 in Dubai. Unfortunately, my Mother was rushed to hospital with Leukaemia and is undergoing chemo and a bone marrow transplant.
