“Cancellation of flights after confirmation”

I booked flights for my wife and I to go to Kuala Lumpur back in Nov 2015 for an Easter break in March 2016 and had confirmation and e tickets sent to me. I waited for this before I went ahead and booked transferring flights to and from Koh Samui as well as hotels and car hire all based on the confirmed flights from Travelup (through skyscanner). “Totally unhelpful when things go wrong”

Be very careful with this company, if something goes wrong they will do anything rather than sort out your problem (and our problem was nothing to do with us). They can be rude and unhelpful. When you call them direct it sounds like they are operating from someone's front room. Not professional at all. At first, booking through Travel Up seemed to be a great idea. The price was as cheap as I had found anywhere else on the internet and the tickets and confirmation were delivered promptly. However, when I went to check in to my flight the evening before flying, my boarding pass was in respect of a flight 3 hours later. These guys are bad, if you have a grievance you cant get past a foreign helpdesk on the phone, and they don't respond to e mails for days and days at best. I had to cancel my parents air fares due to serious illness, and they only refunded half the cost, despite a letter from Qantas to them authorising a full refund! I bought a ticket for the 26 November but they only confirmed it for 26 December. And now they won't agree to their mistake and they say if I want to change my ticket I have to pay £600 when it's free with virgin active. When I call they put me on hold for one hour or they cut me off. They are total frudsters never would use them or recommend them. They are absulutally rude and unhelpful. My parents booked flights to visit my Brother for Christmas 2015 in Dubai. Unfortunately, my Mother was rushed to hospital with Leukaemia and is undergoing chemo and a bone marrow transplant. “Terrible, breaking EU consumer law, denied a refund”

I was due to travel to S.America with a friend in October however, the flight was cancelled by the airline due to technical issues. The flight was booked through TravelUp. We had the option of new tickets or a full refund. We opted for a full refund which TravelUp said we were entitled to. Have used Travelup twice and both times encountered a problem. I booked and paid for flights on 13th July and received a confirmation email only to receive another one the next day saying the flight price had expired overnight and it would be an extra £120 per person. Hear hear, I have had APPALING customer service, all the way through from the call centre, all the way through to the management. I am now filing a compalint to Trading Standards due to their attempt to keep my money for a flight that was cancelled - and according to EU should have been fully refunded to me. Do not book with this agency.

The ticket booking process is fine but I didn't get an eticket within 24 hrs as promised. I was unable to checkin on line within 72 hrs of the flight as promised. There was no request for my passport detials beforehand so that they could be verified. I therefore have had to wait until 24hrs of travel to bookin on line, and to confirm thta I am actually booked on this flight. This does not make me feel very confident in the reservation process. The flight going out was ok, but i needed to change my return date. i paid 600 pounds for the return, but when i went to change the date i was told i would need to pay over 700 pounds. I have never experienced this before and have lost my return flight. Every time i have changed the flight before it normally costs around 150 pounds which is acceptable. Yes I've had the same experiance. I asked to speak to an english person who might have been more understanding but I was only allowed to speak to foreign sounding people

If your flight gets changed, good luck.
