“New year plans”

Although a dodgy start after our flight returning from Kuala Lumpur was changed by the airline to a day later when I spoke to customer services they originally went on the defensive but when I talked to the operator politely and told her we can stay a day longer she was helpful but told me to stick with Janki who was dealing with our arrangements , due to her shifts it seemed to take a long time coming back to us but she apologised and gave us a much better alternative and I was able to see all… Read Full Review

I was contacted because there was a change of timings. I understand that this can happen, and whilst frustrating this isn't the issue I have with the company. During the exchange I asked on every email for two things (who I should call to confirm flights and help with reserving seats as the website wasn't working with the booking code I had been given for outbound flights). I received an email to advise me my flight schedule had changed, and I must reply by email to acknowledge this and request new updated tickets. I received an email acknowledging my request and was advised that if I didn'4 receive my updated tickets within 72 hours to contact your customer services dept. “Booking cancellation issues”

This company appears to be very dodgy, I am trying to change a booking I made and keep having to ask the same questions over and over again to get some (not all) of the information I need. Getting relevant information from TravelUp is harder than getting blood from stones! I have also been quoted a price for changing my booking only to find that this doubled when I made some further enquiries without any justification as to why the increase happened or what I was actually paying for. “A great help when you need to fly quickly in a day or...”

Yesterday,I asked them to help me book a flight to Australia. Then on my own going to NZ and coming back from New Zealand to London. They spent almost an hour with me to book it for me just 2 days away, at an economic fare, as China Southern airlines go there and they charge me for this "open jaw route" the same fare as a normal return cheap fare. “Appalling customer service”

I have had my flights changed four times, three times to different dates (outbound and inbound) and arrival back to EDINBURGH instead of London. Despite my "customer service agent" having "feel free to contact me" in her signature, the people who answer the phone will NEVER put you through and despite numerous promises, she has never called me back. I'd never heard of Travel up before but so far they've been great and kept me informed of any changes to my flight. My only constructive point would be that I find your emails very text heavy and they feel a bit like a mass email even when they directed at an individual - this might result in people deleting emails with critical information in them, thinking they're just an e-newsletter. Booked my tickets to Dubai. The initial experience was good even though I did see some negative reviews after booking. One of connection flight details had changed and Travelup wrote to me to say they would be changing our flights. The only error was that the email was addressed to my daughter rather than me which confused me a bit. With their focus on getting the job done and open, clear communication, I was able to resolve my issues in a timely manner. 4 separate bookings, Booked 12 months in advance long haul scheduled business class flights. Had 3 changes notifications, some of 2 days difference, not just hours! Only able to resolve by tedious lengthy email corres as unable to get any sense by phone....if you could get through to anyone, and then expensive premium call rate. Eventually had to check airline schedule myself as didn't believe travel up scheduling changes. Definately will not use again, no confidence in their ticketing system… Read Full Review

So far the worst experience ever!! Never make your booking through this travel agency. Once you buy the ticket, you are trapped, and they take the full advantage of this. This agency takes ages to respond back to the emails and never want to help out their clients. If you call them, they will put you on endless waiting, and they will never call you back. My recent experience was a nightmare with this agency, they lied to me about the flight schedule and issued me a ticket with a forced 22 hours… Read Full Review
