    I have owned and used a Power File since B&D fist brought them out .I am on my second one I wore out the first after several years and many many hours of sanding.I have used it to cut out doors for mortice locks for delicate shaping of small hand held objects and for getting in to tricky places and just about everything in between. It is a great bit of gear and I have never had a problem with the build quality. As a woodworker this is one tool I would not be without.

    If this Black and Decker KA293E Electronic Powerfile was made by any other company this would be a good item. I feel Black and Decker produce items of poor build quality that are difficult and expensive to service [even if spares can be sourced]. Other companies would either produce a more robust item for only marginally less expense, or alternately a similarly poor product at half the price.
