    Good Points: Cutting capacity 91mm x 300mm
    Blade brake
    Unique left and right tilt head for bevel cuts
    Blade depth stop.


    Bad Points: Weight.


    General comments: I checked the market and bought Makita LS1013 Mitre Saw for £530 about 5 years ago. Glad I did as it lived upto my expectations and more. It is versatile, solid, accurate saw which can handle cuts 91mm x 300mm, has blade brake which comes in very handy for multi cuts, you're not waiting for blade to stop to line up next cut. The unique left and right tilt head for bevel cut is an excellent feature to have allowing clean and accurate mitres of shaped timbers such as dado rails, this is the only saw I know that can tilt its head left and right.

    I used the saw approx 3 years until it was stolen without any hassle.

    Only minor gripe I have is its weight, I wish it was slightly lighter, if it was I would have given 10/10 score, other then that I would recommend this to any one looking for a quality saw with plenty of features.
