I have never been so happy with my hair! From having a shoulder length bob, you now couldnt even tell they were extensions! Amazing quality hair put in by an experienced hair dresser who knows what he's doing! After care produt conditioner and hair brush are brilliant, the shampoo is horrible doesnt foam up so have to use loads to wash top of hair/scalp. (read more)

I always use balmain extensions and proper love the extensions they offer. i never have problems, like with others. the after care shampoos n conditioner is really good too so u can keep the hair for longer. i was shocked at comments on here as never had any problems at my salon. always make sure ur hairdresser is trained in them, we got certificates to prove it in the salon. BALMAIN DOES NOT CARE AT ALL. THE PRODUCTS ARE POOR. I PURCHASED THE CLIPS INS AND THEY FELL OFF MY HEAD IN PUBLIC, AND THE SALON DID THEM FOR ME. THEY HAVE NO REMORSE AND REFUSE TO FOLLOW THE CONSUMER PROTECTION LAW. THE PRODUCTS DONT UNDERGO QUALITY TEST PROPERLY. THE HAIR IS STRINGY , TERRIBLE. THE CONSULTANT SAID I NEEDED 2 BOXES JUST TO MAKE MONEY WEN ONLY ONE BOX IS REQD, IM SHOCKED THAT THE SALON DID THAT, COS I DO MY WAXING THERE AND IT WAS FINE.BUT THE HAIR IS TERRIBLE. . BALMAIN HAS SUCH AN EXCLUSIVE WEBSITE WITH TOP MARKETING BUT THEY DONT KEEP UP THEIR WORD.THEY HAVE NO MORALS, EXTENSIONS FELL OF THE SAME DAY........ THE NEXT DAY THEY WERE MADE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. I TRIMMED THEM THEM A LIL N THATS WHY THEY CANT TAKE THEM BACK. BUT THE SALON ALSO TRIMMED THEM IN THE STORE ASWELL. I DONT WANT OTHER PEOPLE TO GET RIPPED OFF. THATS MY OPINION

Hair extensions attached in 3 hours, blend so well, look so natural. hair quality is great, after care is fantastic, cannot recommend enough!! Bonds are small and cannot be seen, my hair is so fine and other brands have had huuuge bonds, theses are not visible even in my fringe where i wanted added length.I cannot fault trhem at all they are everything i wanted and more. this is the second time i have had them and have re-used them 3 times previously. Just had another new set and will always... (read more)

Absolutely shocking, i spent £210.00 for 150 hair extension, i had them put in by a professional Balmain Hair expert and half of the extensions fell out within 2 weeks and the other half i can feel can be easily pulled out. They are ratty and horrible. I would not recommend to anybody. (read more)

I'm a balmain extensionist I couldn't agree more. Rubbish bonds but balmain blame technician shampoo or heat gun not functioning properly. Utter rubbish when other extensions last ages 7-8 weeks with no loss at all 1/2 the price

"Extremely Disappointed and Dissatisfied with Balmain Hair Extensions" I purchased Balmain SV (single volume) and a day later I went back and purchased Double Hair Extensions. The total cost for the extensions was $1,600. The hair shed like a dog, two weeks later it became coarse and it lost its shine, and the hair stylist(s) could never get the hair to flow and match my hair to my satisfaction. A week after the hair was applied I contacted the salon to question whether it was normal for... (read more)

I just got Balmain extentions and Im having them removed right away. I am extremely disappointed with the quality of the hair and the overall application. The hair is very dry and coarse and does not match my caucasion hair at all.It is expensive and Balmain promote's it as being the best 100% human hair on the market...what a racket!!It is extremely poor quality hair and not worth your money or time. If you are familiar with extentions(I have worn them on and off for years)and wear them... (read more)

I have to disagree, i have had both the SV and the Doublehair, the SV was quickly put in and stayed in for ages, it was very light and i did not notice that i had extensions in at all nor could you see them, the quality of the hair was better than my own!! I made sure i used all the Balmain aftercare i was given. I did find double hair took longer to put it but that is cos it was put in one bond at a time but it hide the bonds well, although i deffiently prefered the SV system, i have used Racoon and would never touch them again, it takes for too long and the waste of hair is ridiculous i was paying for more hair on the floor than i was in my head!! I think for how long that took yours to be put in compared to mine it sounds like the person may not have known what they were doing or untrained, i have had experience with untrained extensionists and it was awful i always check that they are certified now

I agree with both sides on this subject. I have used Balmain Double Hair wefts for about 4 years and have witnessed the decline. Don't get me wrong, I still use them as they suit me in terms of ease and look, but I have started to have big issues with Balmain and when I find a suitable replacement, I will switch unless they start respecting their customers and providing value for money.

I was quite surprised to read the negative reviews left. I have been using Balmain extensions, particularly the Doublehair system on my clients for a long time and have had fantastic results every time. Offering an aftercare service is vital as is explaining fundamental extension care, any problems occur when they are not cared for properly or the wrong products are used.
I have tried competitors but have been disappointed with the quality of the hair and keratin bonds.
A comprehensive...

I have been using Balmain hair extensions for two years now, and i was more than happy, since my hair is really thick, and the extensions fit in naturally...you couldn't even recognize that i was wearing hair extensions. they were easy to take care of, no problems whatsoever. However, this last time that i applied them, June 2010, the quality of the hair is not the same. they keep getting thinner and thinner day by day, they are really difficult to comb - especially after a shower, and the... THEY DON'T EVEN WARRANT 1 STAR FOR OVERALL RATING NOR VALUE FOR MONEY!!!
What a total rip off, Balmain Hair Extensions advertise "the best hair in the world" - what a load of absolute rubbish!!!!!!
Within 1 week, my hair was matted, I only used the Balmain products which I purchased at the time the extensions were put in.
No other products were used on my hair in the one month that I had them in, they were that bad, the Balmain Sales Agent was called into the salon to look at them, he...

hello ,
i am from the netherlands, and i use balmain double hair for years .
It was a good value , because i use it for 12 - 15months .
I always take good care of my hair, and goes 6 times a year to my hairdresser.
But the last one(set 2008-2009)it was a bad experience it's not the same quality like before!
I told my hairdresser , and she told me she had the same problems in her shop.
i am so lucky that i have the OLD good ones at home yet,and now i put some clips on it, and use it...

I have been wearing Balmain Extensions for about 10 months now and they are fabulous. I have tried lots of different systems in the past (Racoon,Cinderella, etc) but allways never completely satisfied with the quality and feel towards the end of the waring period. Started with Balmain individual extensions, but now using DoubleHair by Balmain. It only takes 40 minutes for application and it can be re-used. Use the Balmain aftercare and follow their gudelines and it stays in great condition (... (read more)

I've worn Balmain hair extensions for years. First I used the single strands and since 2 years I switched to DoubleHair. I really love the product the quality is the best. Nobody sees that I am wearing extensions what is for me the best. The other thing I love is the re-usability of the product, after a few months I can re-apply it again and it looks great again for a few months. So that saves me a lot of money. So for me Balmain is the best! (read more)

my girlfriend and I are huge Balmain fans!! Their professional hair and aftercare products are great, the hairquality feels soft, is easy to maintain, blends really natural and is reusable. Next to that, Balmain is the only company with a 6 months guarantee. I recommend Balmain to all my friends. (read more)

I Have had Balmain hair extensions for years, as a stylist my self I take good care of the hair, and it generally lasts up to 6 months. I have trailed the internet trying to find a cheaper option to Balmain and have tried several products and none have been as good as Balmain!!
The hair will matt up and become tangled if it is not treated properly, it is nothing to do with the balmain hair, it is how the client treats the hair, which is why there is a 6 month gaurantee on the hair.

I bought all the Balmain Hair Extensions shampoos and conditioners and leave in sprays etc, and in total with the extensions spent £540 for them to only last one month when they are meant to last 6 months! Every time I washed my hair it took up to 2 hours to get it looking half decent but after a month the hair looked an absolute disgrace it was all matted together. I went to the hairdressers and they could not even comb it so I had it cut to where my hair is originally to my shoulders. I... (read more)

As a hairstylist with lots of my own personal and proffesional experience i will not recomend this product, I've had the worst time with a customer because the hair quality its truly degrading after only two weeks my customer started to shed then the hair starts to look stringie, raggety and cheap i'm disapointed because after all the money both me and her have spent making the swich from my last companie to this was in no way worth the money or losing a very good customer.

I've used several types of extensions (Remy / other versions of real hair), and I haven't found any as good as these. I purchased the Balmain pret a porter complete extension in Nordic blonde, which are made out of memory hair (artificial hair) - this looks better than a lot of the real hair that I've purchased in the past and is a beautiful colour, very natural. You can style them like real hair and the edge of the extension is wavy, so you can't see the join between your own hair and the... (read more)
