Brilliant laptop, the screen is huge and its all very easy to use and navigate.
The only problem, and its an annoying one, is the charger cable ALWAYS falls out of the back. The connection is very loose and i haven't gone a day without having to keep plugging it back in. Battery life is quite low too so it isn't good for a long journey without a plug.

But other than that annoyance, it really is a brilliant laptop, i've had a few problems with playing high quality games, something about the virtual memory being low, whatever that means.

I'd highly reccommend this laptop, it cost me £350 when I got mine over two years ago, and i cant see myself needing a new laptop for years and years to come :)

“A properly brilliant laptop. ”

A properly brilliant laptop.

I'm running windows 7 on it atm and its a dream. Takes less than a minute to power-up and be ready to use.

Would be nice to have an HDMI output but that's ok.

The value for money is the best bit. I paid £489 for a refurbished model and it runs brilliantly.

Main strengths: speed (2.2Ghz 4Gb Ram DDR2) and screen size (17.3')and battery life (9 hours)

Weaknesses: no HDMI output.

Its a very good Destop replacement. Best to get 4GB memory, 2x 200GB 7200rpm harddisks, 2.5 or higher processor with 6MB cache, fastest graphic card, Tv card, bluetooth/with mouse. Target price (June 2008) £685 inc vat and delivery. This gives a PCMark rating of 780. (processor above had best PC Mark beating the rating of 2.6 Ghz version). At this price it was a great bargain.

It is good for the big large screen, it is really fast, easy to type and click, if you want to put wireless internet onto it then all you have to do is press a button! Brilliant - I am so glad I chose to have this laptop, I am really pleased!
