My husband and I were disappointed with our first visit to Verdi's and won't be returning. The food was nice and arrived prompty (too quickly in terms of starter to main course). However the staff were very unfriendly, none of the three greeted us nor smiled at any time. We ordered a £10.95 bottle of wine which is fine, however, it was a £2.99 bottle of red purchased at Aldi's and this was the only option! what kind of place offers just one bottle or red and white? The title says a lot about this place. It sells italian food but as far as i could see there was not an italian in sight. If you like surly italian waiters scouling at you and then ignoring you when you want something then dont eat here. This is the speediest italian i have ever eaten at. The sevice was bob on and we was never left waiting. The food was fresh cooked in front of you (open kitchen) and was cooked just right. A medium steak came as a medium steak. Verdi is defo recommended, the food is good and the prices are very reasonable. the menu has a large selection to choose from and there is a variation of wines, spirits and beers
good food and the prices are very reasonable, think a meal for 6 with 3 starters and drinks came to just over £60!!! (read more)

I really was impressed with Verdi. We stood outside and thought of choosing the chain pub across the road, but opted for here instead. This was a great choice. The portions were big, after the starters came we thought we were going to struggle with finishing the main.
All the food tasted rich and full of flavour and the choice was more than adequate for the prices we paid.
