Bought My RAC HP094 last year, only used it about 4 times then it would not pump water instead water gushed out from inside, as I could not find the Garantee and had owned it for just short of a year, decided to have a look inside and found that the pressure switch had broken away from the housing this could not have been done by myself as its safe inside the cover so I imagin the water pressure must have broken the switch.
My old Karcher lasted 20 years wished I bought another Karcher instead.

RAC HP021 only supposed to work when trigger on lance is held.
After 20 minutes use had left it for a few minutes when motor started up on its own, with smoke pouring out & strong smell of burning. Had to turn it off at mains connection.
Took it back to Argos who immediately gave full refund.

At fifth time of use, just stopped working. Unfortunately 4 months out of guarantee. User Guide offers only cause as "overheat cut-out, wait 15 minutes". It did seem like electrical fault, so I checked cable, fuse, etc. but it never revived, and no accessible parts or spares. Telephone help line doesn't answer. Woolworths still sell these, price looks cheap but not for so little use. Avoid. (read more)

The RAC HP021 Pressure Washer was a waste of £79.99, can't believe ARGOS are still selling such a poor brand. Jet attachment broke and the pipe has now split, not bad for 5 uses over 1 year. It's also very heavy and by design the weight breaks the front cover very quickly. (read more)

I found this review very helpful because... same thing happened to me the hose split after 3rd time of being used. Argos should take note of this. With pressure washers you often only use at infrequent times so it can be out of guarantee before you find a problem even though ive only used it for a short time.

The RAC HP021 Pressure Washer operated great to start with then the pump broke up a week out of guarantee, no spares available, which is a shame as it is easy to fix, so £69.97 to wash my car 3 times. (read more)

Take it back to where you bought it from. You should be entitled to a free repair under the Sales of Goods Act. If retailer is not helpful, call your local Trading Standards Department and they will advise you further.
