The reviews on the North Ridge's Hybrid Spirit Down Jacket on the Go Outdoors website are all 5*. I sent them a 3* review, shown below and they did not include it. Can you trust their reviews? My research led me to believe this was the perfect jacket for me. When I first tried it on, the fit, the appearance and the hood all seemed perfect and I was really pleased. After a few minutes I became aware that it was extremely tight under my arms. I tried many other jackets and none had this problem. I was very disappointed that I could not buy it.

Boots are quite heavy and big around the top therefore more suitable for thick calves. So I am not very happy with them. However, thick soles are good for frosty ground and do keep my feet warmer.

After going online and reserving a product. I find on collection they had reserved the wrong item. Luckily I found the right one on the shop floor the member of staff that I spoke to could not be bothered to help me find the right one. There was only one left I had driven 30 miles to pick this up it could have been a wasted journey.

At the reduced price of £20, was worth the money, but the extra cost of postage (£5!?!?) Pushed it a little over the edge. Definitely not worth it without the discount.

I purchased a jacket and paid the extra for next day delivery, however this did not happen and I had to wait an additional 24 hours. This was the only thing that let you down. I was refunded the delivery cost after I made contact. Such a shame that I had to chase the delivery and would have been better if you had contacted me about the delay. The jacket itself is amazing and of excellent value and quality and exactly as advertised. Exactly what I needed to walk around the freezing temperatures of Central Europe where the temperature dropped to -12 degrees. It certainly kept me warm !

I ordered 4 items from Go Outdoors, hoping that by paying for next day delivery, they would arrive before Christmas 2016. The Silva compasses, walking socks and prusik cord are all good quality and good value for money. I'd recommend these. Such a shame that Go Outdoors were let down by UK Mail, their delivery provider. Delivery dd not take place on the next working day as paid for. Then, short notice was given of the expected delivery, so it was missed at my end. I then gave UK Mail two days notice of an alternative delivery date, this was accepted by them but no delivery appeared. On contcating UK mail, I was advised my delivery had been pout bak to the following week. This service is unacceptable. Go Outdoors refunded my delivery charges. They were severely let down by their courier. It would have been useful to have known of UK Mail's operating unreliability before ordering.

Ordered 3 items online for home delivery. Only 2 charged for and arrived, despite the 3rd item showing as being in stock. Also placed an order for collection at a store a few months back and they were not aware of any order at all. Shocking online experience. My instore experiences have been hit and miss. Over in Pudsey I received excellent customer services, however in their store near Cheadle there seemed to be a lot of staff not doing much, and I waited over 5 minutes for someone to come and open the changing room so I could try on some clothes (seems as though ordering online was rubbish), and no one came for 15 minutes. I ended up trying the clothes on in the shop floor on top of my own clothes. An absolute joke. Despite the excellent service I received in Pudsey I will now not be returing to Go Outdoors for anymore products.

After black Friday on Sunday I ordered a jacket which was only £20 on sale from £70. I checked on Monday(next day) and It was £63. I am very happy with the company about the great products they sell and sale it for the limited time. I would say that the delivery is a bit expensive. especially when you pay for the delivery then you would expect quicker than it usually comes. My delivery for my jacket arrived 5 and half days later. I would recommend them to get the delivery prices cheaper, because there are some companies which do free delivery and get the products delivered next day or within 3 days. Only a bit disappointed with the delivery. Other than that I am very satisfied with the company.

Bought a pair of thinsulate gloves, very good value and a decent product. Downside is that I find I have inadvertently paid another fiver for a go outdoors discount card. Now I have to try to cancel it and get a refund. Aggravation I can do without!

Great price, which hooked me in, but I bought this online and didn't realise quite how cumbersome it would be. This isn't a hiking sleeping bag! It's fairly heavy and very large, as it's not very compressible. Unless you're camping out of a car, it'd certainly be worth investing in something lighter and more compact. I wouldn't buy it again, and will probably need something different to go light on long hikes. It might just about do DofE, but even for that you'd probably prefer to save on weight and space by going smaller and lighter than this beast. In short: don't bother, unless you're just looking for a cheap sack for a caravan or camping straight from your car.

this is my second pair of these after the first pair wore through on the soles. They are a good waterproof boot for soggy dog walks. Only complaint was the first pair didn't last longer than 3 years, but then they had been worn everyday so maybe it was just a lot of wear and tears.

Warm but basic. Unlike my regular Craghoppers this design has no secure zip pocket or phone pocket. Good price though.

Naught this down jacket for this winter. It's very light and warm but the only problem is that it's already loosing is down from where material is stitched .

Van life, there are just some things a girl will always want. This little fold-up bright colored hair-dryer is compact, quite, fold-up, not as strong as an electric dryer for obvious reasons, like being 12v. it demists my my old van windscreen quicker than the van-fan and we are ok with the price and quality. when hooked up use the electric.

I rather enjoy going into my local store (Lincoln) because it's interesting to have a wander round. What my wife calls a "boy shop" - there you go, sexism alive and well in the 21st century female. Enjoyment aside, my major beef is that when I've been in to buy footwear and accessories, finding a member of staff to provide help and advice has always been a problem. There simply aren't enough people available and there's no guarantee that the member of staff you eventually find knows anything at all about, say, boots. Second time in there involved a 20 minute wait while the one staff member in the walking / hiking area finished off giving advice to another customer. Good for the staff member (and he was good), not so good for customers. The discount card scheme is a little bit "smoke and mirrors" - I've yet to save any money compared with what I good have paid elsewhere, but it's certainly worth a few quid to be able to see / try / talk about the goods.

Sent the wrong sizes shoes. Better for me to travel 25miles to pick up the correct pair.

I wanted to stock up on winter fleece jumpers and went to my local store, in Colchester. There were no size 10 jumpers in the colours I wanted so I tried on the same design to ensure the fit was ok. I then went home and placed order for 6 jumpers. It then took almost two weeks for them to arrive. Far slower than I had been expecting. The jumpers are just as advertised and fit for purpose so I am pleased with them just a little disappointed with speed of delivery. There wasn't an update on my order until just before they arrived.
