I placed my order on Tuesday and received it on Wednesday. Wow. All the items were there and exactly as described. Everything true to size. Good choice of casual clothes. Quality OK, for the price. I live in southern Ireland and apart from very good value for money, the service from Sportsdirect is really excellent. For example if I place an order on a Thursday the goods will come by courier the following Thursday at the latest. Friends and family who buy regularly from Sportsdirect all have the same positive experience i.e. value for money and fast delivery. I ordered a cross trainer from them 10 days ago and it still hasn't arrived. They took the £90 from my bank account immediately. They have provided me with a false tracking number that doesn't work in the Yodel website, and every time I send them an email they respond with an automated message, each with the same fake tracking information. 15 Days ago I placed an order for trainsers for my son and within a day got a mail saying it was despatched with tracking no. I followed this - 'awaiting collection' was stated. I've clicked that link several times since and get the same message. I still do 14 days later. You go to complain on the SD website and get an email (the same email!) with the tracking no on. After spending nearly £100 I attempted to return two low cost faulty items (total value £8). The sales assistant and store manager would not accept that the goods were faulty, although they plainly were, and refused to give me a refund - offering instead a credit voucher. The site is safe. I buy often from the shop itself haven't tried the website. My friend ordered from Sweden and had no problem. Now... I want to order... but looking at these reviews !! I think I leave it. It's a company which has grown because the low prices, and of course, low prices means low customer service. Waited over a month before my order which was further delayed with no reason given. Customer service is non existent with this site. If you have a problem you will just receive a series of automated responses with no hope of speaking to an actual person. I ordered a rugby shirt for my sons birthday. My purchase arrived two weeks late and when I finally got it the packet had already been opened and the tshirt was pulled & stained. It was obviously a returned item that had been shoved back in the bag and put back on sale. Avoid this site at all costs it stinks. (read more)

Placed and order that was canceled without even informing me. Do not use this company because if you need any help or anyone to answer a query you have no chance of contacting them. I needed to complete an order but wanted advice on why it had not completed. Ordered 3 items which they billed me for then they invoiced me for a completely wrong single item and sent that instead, there was no easy way to cancel the order due to there mistake, they have not acknowledged or replied to my emails!! I have spoken to my bank and they "WILL" have my money returned to me and I will not be returning the wrong item out of principle!! They will not win any quality awards, but are you seriously going to get £4 shorts anywhere else? Nope. I've bought sports socks, running shorts, a pair of jogging bottoms and even a snowboarding helmet over the course of 2-3 years. All items have arrived rapidly (I paid for next day, but i'm impatient sometimes). You can raise them on the phone, but be prepared to spend 30 mins waiting. They cancelled most of the items on my order and still charged me £3.99 postage for a pair of socks that cost me £1.00, when i complained they simply said if i don't like them take them bake to a store for a full refund (minus any postage costs). not bad £4.99 for 1 pair of socks.I will never order from there again. On two seperate occasions we have been sent the wrong item in the packaging of the actual items we ordered! 2 weeks ago, my fiancé ordered a pair of goalie gloves, he has expensive taste so they weren't exactly cheap! Ordered a pair of trainers for someones birthday and ordered with plenty of time to ensure delivery on time. The package arrived on time but with the wrong pair of trainers (a much cheaper pair). I sent three emails and got no responses so I had to take them into the store and swap for a different pair as you can only get refunds online. Still waiting for a response from them. One of item - creatine capsules , was previously opened. I remove top of the box and safety foil was missing. Then I count capsules, and instead of 160 capusles, there were only 150. This is very terrible experience and I would never believe, that this could happens. I made 2 orders from the online shop. Both arrived in three days (Greece). All items in great shape with their tags on. Good quality and fast delivery (DHL). There were some missing items in 2nd order (some pairs of socks). Customer service is really bad (1 week since my email and still no respond). I have used sportssdirect twice (Jan-2012 and now Mar-2013). The first time I ordered only 1 item, and the second time I ordered 8 items. In both occasions I received all the items I ordered in good conditions. Also, both purchases were good value for money. The first delivery took slightly longer than what I expected. I purchased items online from sportsdirect, they sent the wrong items twice, impossible to speak to a real person(couldn't ever get through on the phone), email replies were a standard "return for a refund or replacement". I eventually got a refund for the goods only by pursuing a claim through paypal but still left out of pocket because I wasn't refunded for delivery or two lots of return postage for the wrong items they sent All in all cost me £12 to get £28 refund. I purchased 2 items for delivery to northern ireland and can only recommend highly the service this site provides. After 7 e-mails i finnaly got a reply. 30% discount for the pants missing and i could send back the wrong size and they wouldd refund my shipping costs. Couldn't agree more, Greenford branch did the same thing to me, customer service non existant, actually went to the exchange and returns counter to be told no refunds!!!!! The thing that gets me was the fact that I had specifically asked if I could get a refund if the clothes didnt fit and was told 'no problem'. Like you I also asked if I could use the gift voucher on line or even if they could order what I wanted to the branch.. again a flat NO. Thought businesses ran on reputation and customer service but they didnt even have a brain between them to come up with a solution for me. Asked if the had the larger sizes in branch, I got 'DONT KNOW' What the hell are computers for if you dont even have a list of stock items. Really hacked off and like you, I'm NOT going to leave it there. APPALLING !!!!! If 70% discount means 70% service then charge me full price any day of the week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
