    We can't help reminiscing about the wonderful time we had with Yannis from Ionian Eco Villagers in Gerakas. It was truly the best holiday we have ever experienced: tranquil; peaceful; unspoilt; beautiful scenery; wonderful food and the most welcoming and friendly people we have ever encountered - we felt we were leaving family behind when we left!

    We highly recommend holidaying with Ionain Eco Villagers to those who enjoy being away from the hustle and bustle of popular tourist resorts and want to experience real, Greek culture. It's left up to you to do exactly what you want to do, but if you need help there are some great trips that can be arranged for you. One we highly advocate is the Eco Friendly Catamaran trip that takes up most of the day, visiting some of the most amazing caves and coves with beautiful crystal clear blue waters and secluded beaches - and if you're lucky you might get to see a turtle - we did! What you'll also find so good about it is that the maximum capacity on the Catamaran is 20 people, so you're not packed in like sardines (as were some of the other boats we met that day).

    Ionian Eco Villagers has been awarded several responsible tourism awards for the companies efforts in conservation, eco-friendly excursions and sustainable tourism. The most satisfying feeling of all was knowing that we were contribuitng to a good cause and helping the whole area stay beautiful and unspoilt.

    We certainly intend visiting again in the near future. We've fallen in love with Gerakas!
