Spoke to an excellent team leader today regarding my fathers account, my dad has minimal language following a stroke and finds communicating extremely difficult and frustrating but you staffs common sense and patience got us there, greatly appreciated. Would be happy to have staff like him on my customer service team. Well done Orange!

I've been with vodafone and o2 and orange is the best for signal out of all of them. I've been with them for 5 years now and never had any problems so that has to be a good thing. Prices are good as well.

OK, I was very negative about orange, it annoys me about them charging extra for 4g when other give it free. When their charges for roaming are still so high even after their forced reduction by regulators (you do know you have never made a penny out of me and you won't while you rip us off). But you just gave me possibly the best customer service ever. My sim stopped working and I called up and was promised a new Sim that same day in the evening. Well obviously that wasn't going to happen! A very nice man arrived at my front door at 7.45pm on Friday night and handed me my new Sim......on the same day. I am just blown away at how well I have been treated. Thank you Orange. Simply stunning!

I’ve been with Orange for a number of years and have never had too many problems. Granted the network does tend to be a little expensive compared to the less established networks like GiffGaff and 3, but it does always work which I’ve heard can be a problem on other networks. The main reason I’m writing this review is that I was unhappy with a large data bill I received when I accidently downloaded a very large app over 3g. I have a data limit of 500mb on my contract, and the filesize was over 1gb – so a substantial extra cost for data was applied to me bill. I wasn’t happy about this, but it was my fault. I called orange and after speaking to billing they agreed to half the cost I owed them which was good on their part. I still had to pay, but at least they understood the problem. I also wanted to unlock an iPhone I’d had on their network and requested a code without issue last week. Still waiting to hear back and I’m hoping I won’t have the same experience as others on here that the code didn’t come through – I’ll keep you updated! In summary a solid network with good customer service, but just a little too expensive!

Ignore all the comments that focus on one small problem (contract cancellation, network outages etc.), I have very little to complain about with Orange. Coverage has been pretty consistent, except in my girlfriend's house, who lives on the edge of her town, so I was semi-expecting that. 3G coverage isn't brilliant, but perfectly adequate and quite fast when I get it. Customer service is what I expected. I always called at peak times, so hold times were quite long and I can't really complain about that. Cancelled my contract with them through no fault of the company (phone broke and insurance excess was more than getting a new phone), except the fact that I found a better deal on the phone that I wanted with a different network. 'My Account' internet service/app was very easy to set up and clear to navigate and stay up to speed with my usage. Roaming was also easy to turn on. One minor complaint is that the people in their call centre tend to mumble quite a bit (and I have some difficulty understanding Irish and Liverpool accents).

Orange are good, at first i thought they was pretty basic, i had a few problems regarding my contract always running over the £20 i pay for it, once it got to £80 in one month! I can't blame Orange for this, but they said they was unable to cap my contract.. who knows? But anyway, they're a good network, overpriced but hey all of them are. Around my house I lost signal quite a lot but majority of the time it was okay and let me text/make calls. Recently, since the EE switchover my texts have been 'sending' perminantly and never actually sent making me look like I've ignored somebody, and also sometimes the internet would just not work even though I had full signal. Aside of these small things, I'd say they're a good network. I've been bad with making payments ontime (oops) but they've always been very flexible and didnt give extra charges, they text when your payment is due, and didn't ever hastle me ringing constantly or with marketing. For service, I was going to say average. But I've literally just rung Orange, for free, where I was connected to an advisor about ending my contract (after the 24 months which is now). I thought "this is where I get pressured to take up a new contract", she informed me that i had to give 30 days notice to close the account which I didn't realise; however she explained as my contract is paid on the 24th of every month and as today is the 25th she will see if we can end it early to avoid me having to pay for another month. There was no pressure, she explained the final payment which I needed to make and gave me the final end date. Very pleasant and friendly, sorted out my problem immediately without any hastle.

I've been with Orange for nearly a year and generally they are very helpful. The staff in the shops seem much more helpful and knowledgeable than on the phones which is my only issue. I had problems with my phone a while ago and the guy in the customer service department on the phone didn't really help or seem like he knew what he was talking about. After giving up I called again and spoke to someone else who knew exactly what she was talking about and arranged a new sim card to be sent out which arrived the next day and did fix the problem. Since they have changed to EE repairs can now be done through the stores, which I went through the other day. This was a very quick and easy process and I would recommend Orange.

Firstly, this is a positive review, but one as a result of being screwed in the first place! (so I will do a negative one also?) Orange sold me a SIM as part of a package then charged me £15/month for 18 months without me knowing about it. When I tracked down the anonymous looking Direct Debit, and linked it back to this SIM I had never used, I contacted Orange. So the good thing is - getting through to a real customer support person always seems to be OK with Orange. Hence this review. Yes you have to navagate some IVR menus, but you get there (took about 5mins) and they were able to see the problem, match the facts and agreed to a full refund and sent a cheque. I was just grateful I didn't have to shout and holler to get that far. I think that is worth a good review - its not the same on some of the other networks.

Ding ding, you're lucky! I too have been overcharged by Orange and, whilst they accept the fact, currently refuse to do anything about it. I've spent hours on the phone being pushed from pillar to post, from supervisor to team leader to manager etc. I think their plan is to hope that I give up ... they're going to be disappointed.

I started looking for reviews for Orange because I feel their packages are more expensive than they used to be. I did receive notification of this but it seems to me that their plans are even more expensive. That said, I have been with orange over ten years, for broadband too, and I have always been completely satisfied with eh products, price and customer service. In that ten years I think I've had issues with my broadband on only three occasions and each time I rang customer services and the issues were dealt with efficiently, professionally and effectively. I've never had any problems with the phones (2 contracts) that I've had and when my daughter has lost/broken hers orange have always dealt with these issues to my satisfaction. I have no experience of other suppliers but I have always been happy with orange and I receive loyalty benefits. I wouldn't be looking now, as I said, except of the price thing. I might find, after looking at other providers, that actually Orange are still good value for money.

Very surprised people have given so many negative reviews but it's human nature to complain rather than praise. I wanted to address the balance by giving Orange a thumbs up. They aren't perfect (NONE OF THEM ARE) some people will be unlucky and have many problems, others will never have any. I fall in the middle with a few niggles (like Orange Swapables) but they have been sorted out to my satisfaction and I have received credits on my account as goodwill gestures on a couple of ocassions. I have been an Orange customer for about 5 yrs and tried the others (O2 being the worst) The range of handsets is good and competitive, the tariffs are on par and the extras such as Orange Wednesdays, magic numbers and Swapables are really worth having. You will never get perfection but I believe Orange is one of the better providers out there.

A Network customer for some 15 years, I have also utilised their Virgin eq tariff whilst having contract and currently PAYG on contract! Network has always been good, coverage only improves now teamed up with T mobile transmitters. We have found international / roaming great, Germany, France, Portugal, Tenerife. I would whole heartedly recommend the NETWORK, it is absolutely fine. However May you have a talisman of humankind if you ever need to deal with their contact centre. The staff are for the most part, very nice people. Friendly, happy, snappy, charming even. They would make great pets. Unfortunately, they are employed to resolve customer issues but are not empowered, inter-communication is weak at best, they are chained by procedure, they are

Quick Orange pay as you go review. I have been with Orange for a year now and have travelled to various parts of the uk and overall i would say for making basic calls and texting the service seems to be just fine, however the 3g coverage is rubbish i did find in most larger towns and cities the 3g worked mostly fine.
For £10 a month you get various reward such as texts etc, however i find it much better value to convert £15 to unlimited texts, 100 mins and 250mb data this and the combined rewards lasts me a month so it's not bad value at all of course i mainly text so people who use a lot of mins or hammer the internet or data intensive apps would be better of on a contract. But i feel for the average pay as you go user what i have suggested is worth a go.

I have been with orange for just over 14 years on the same number with the same contract.
Get this, I am customer number 00281908!!
Joined in 1996. Does anyone have a lower number?
Never had a problem with them. Whenever I have called, the problem has always been sorted very quickly. There have been some issues yes, but these were all sorted. I now get perks. They keep adding a bit of discount whenever I change my phone and I get a lot of magic numbers.
2G coverage excellent (I live in Devon). 3G good in urban areas, a bit rubbish in rural areas.
This will be fixed with the imminent T-Mobile/Three roaming.
Can't fault them. Will be staying to see if I can become the longest running customer!

I have just come to the upgrade period. When I phoned them to request an iphone 4 32gb for a price near to Threes offer they did nothing and were quite prepared to loose my custom. Then they phoned me later and after the chap speaking to 3 "managers" he was able to undercut Three and give me exactly what I wanted for £80 less than I was prepared to pay.
I have always found Orange coverage excellent. The web site is very good and I am happy to pay what I do for their service.
If you want a deal then keep on to them and try to speak to the people that can make a decision.

I have been with orange for a long time now. Starting with pay as you go and I'm now on a contract with an iPhone 3GS. I have to say that the customer service has been top notch. Easy to get through to a person and they are from the uk! Hurrah! Some one who I can understand! I live in the York area of the UK and get a pretty good signal most of the time. 3G isn't bad but could be faster. May just be because I use it at peak times. Anyway when you combine good signal with fantastic customer service and not to forget orange wednesdays 241 at cinema and pizza express you are hard pressed to find a better provider in my eyes. :)

I have been with Orange for 4 or 5 years and never had a signal problem or a billing problem. I'm not delighted with the phone model I have, but it does every thing I want. I only phone or text. I would recomend them to other people and currently have no intention of changing when due for renewal.
But I do have an issue with trying to get a normal landline number for them, just spent 35 mins talking to some one in India!!. They do have a free phone number that you can call from a landline number:08003762285. But my daughter is working in China for a week and wants a normal land line number to call from a landline number in China and no one will give me one. They will only give you premium rate numbers, even 0845 numbers from China are very expensive. Frustrating. All of the address's are PO Box Numbers. Is that so you cant find them? and also is it so you cant issue court papers on them if you need to? UK courts dont allow you to issue proceedings via a PO Box.!!
Just my personel thoughts. However frustrating though it is, I am still with Orange and still have no intention of changing. I would have given them a better rating except for the Landline number nonsence
Your choice.

I've been with Orange for 15+ years! I went with them because I caravan in some remote places and Orange were the only network with coverage. Ironically coverage at home and work is poor - so I have a Vodafone PAYG for backup. But when I'm out and about Orange definitely wins in remoter areas of Wales, England and Scotland. Usually I have no Vodfaone signal at all. The only time I had Vodfaone and not Orange was in Patterdale, southern Ullswater. I can't comment on customer service because I've never needed to phone them in 15 years! Value - I'm on PAYG so it does mount up - but then it is cheaper for me than monthly. I'm going to stick with Orange.

OK reception used to be good on Orange, but since merger with T-mobile I thought coverage would be even better. But I did not think far enough. It is an excuse (good business?) to ditch "overlapping" coverage, but it looks like in some areas there has been too much pruning. It will be interesting to see if EE profits are way up next year due to cuts etc, but more interesting to see if they keep their combined customer base!
