Just moved to orange this weekend:
    1. The delivery driver couldn't find our location so never received delivery of phone on day stated. Had to sort this out myself with the delivery company and had to threaten to cancel the contract if they didn't deliver the next day (they wanted to deliver two days later). However, it was a Friday the 13th so could blame the date I guess!!
    2. I'm on a Blackberry data plan only with Blackberry email but can't call customer service from the phone nor receive any calls. Can't even pay per call length like a payg. So have two phones. One on a pay as you go (t-mobile) and one on data!! derrr
    3. Today they screwed up direct debit now have to call and make manual payment.
    4. Watch this space...

Really, really incompetent. Service you'd expect from amateurs

I switched to Orange from O2 some years ago due to O2s appalling signal reception in rural areas. When I moved to my current (rural) address I discovered that the Orange signal was almost non-existent too. I also began to realise that my monthly contract was a rip off for the small volumes of calls I made. I switched to Asda PAYG, which uses Vodafone's network. I now have a strong signal and economic call rates.

Getting out of Orange was not straightforward. Call centre staff were polite and I ...

I've been with Orange for years, and hadn't experienced any problems, however, I recently went into an Orange shop to buy a PAYG phone. I explained that I liked Nokia and that I use the phone mostly for texting. They sold me an Orange Rome which is the direst most useless phone ever, especially it's texting function. Tried to return the phone to change it for something that actually met the requirements I'd specified and was told that Orange no longer have a 14 days returns policy and that I ...

I find Orange has a very good signal in the North-West and Wales, far better than O2, and Orange has really good signal coverage abroad. Costs are reasonable as well.

I've been with Orange for nearly 10 years, and they've got steadily worse. I've just tried going from PAYG to contract with them to get my costs down (PAYG tariff now extortionate). Payed for a Saturday delivery, waited all day and it didn't turn up. When I called at the end of the day they blamed stock problems. Rearranged delivery for Tuesday and it still didn't turn up, so I've cancelled the contract, and I'm no longer with Orange. It's a shame I can't give them 0/5.

My monthly bill should cost £26, but it's never been below £30. I've read and heard from other people that Orange is known to add extra VAT, and has been known to charge for things that shouldn't be charged for. Yes the pay monthly deals seem good, but they're not. I wouldn't recommend orange pay monthly to others.

I was put on a contract of 18 months. I should be on the lowest plan they have but they have put my on a very expensive plan I am locked into for 18 months.
I pay insurance and as i had my phone stolen and didn't realise until the next morning I thought the insurance would cover my calls. Wrong - As I hadn't reported it until after the calls were made I now have to pay £72 the thief dialled in calls.
So I have now been waiting 9 days for a new sim card which they have sent by royal mail (w ...

I have 3 phones on contact with Orange, and I recently called to upgrade, and frankly they didn't want my business. I have been on this contract since 1998, and the deal they were offering me was rubbish! When i said i could get a better deal elsewhere they put me through to the disconnection section, who were just as rude! I understand that they are being taken ovr by T mobile, and frankly good riddance to Orange staff. I have an 02 work phone, and the network coverage is much better with 0 ...

I purchased my new pay as you go mobile from Orange telesales who were very good. They even gave me free £10 airtime for my loyalty. Unfortunately, after 4 phone calls and 11 days, I still have not received this. On the 4th call, I found out that the previous 3 persons had not actioned my request. The customer service department is dismal and Orange should tear up their contracts and start again. How hard can it be to obtain this £10. I am considering going to Trading Standards ...

I was without my mobile for a week I called orange numberous times - never spoke to the same person twice. Three times they wrongly identified the problem as the sim being old and needing replacing. Eventually they said my phone had been blocked. Orange couldn't / wouldn't tell me Why or by whom and one service operator even hung up on me! After a frustrating few days I decided to phone various other networks to see if i could find out who had blocked the phone. I phoned O2 first and they said ...

Do not buy from Orange online. If your phone breaks down then your local Orange Shop will not want to know you. I went into the Burnley shop after my 6 month old Nokia failed and they were downright rude. They claim if you buy online it is a totally separate and they will not help you.

Well, where on earth do I start with this one! They are complete and utter c***! Their Customer Service is non-existent, especially when you get through to the overseas call centre - they apparently don't have a complaints office - doesn't that say it all?! You have to deal with the Executive Office if (and you will) have a complaint. It seems that one department within Orange doesn't know what the other is doing and they don't communicate. Up until January 09, I thought they could do no wro ...

Orange customer service is beyond belief. If I wore a heart rate monitor when phoning them it would explode ! I was transferred seven times in one call to sort a billing problem and the problem still did not get sorted out. I wrote a letter to head office and I got a call to say that they would credit me a months payment as a good will gesture, this was not done and I was still charged. Before signing an Orange contract, phone there customer services on 150 from your contract mobile, or 07973 ...

Orange caused me nothing but problems from the day I took out my contract. The customer service is extremely poor and I failed to ever get any decent answer from them, they do not understand the term 'customer care'. I had an 18 month contract, however after six months of problems decided to just turn the phone off and change my provider to 02. 8 motnhs have now passed since turning my phone off and not using it, however they have decided this month to take the line rental from my bank account a ...
