Good Points: The bubbles no the outside are extremely useful and the keys are nicely spaced apart for texting.
Bad Points: The 3.2 mp camera didn't live up to expectations and the headphone/usb plug/charger cable plug is a bit weird on the side.
General comments: We got the Sony Ericsson W980i as an upgrade for free and so far it has been brilliant. We live in the middle of nowhere and we have brilliant reception. I have five bars right now as i write this. On the outside the bubbles are brilliant as you hardly have to touch them and you get a lovely vibration to confirm that you pressed it properly. It looks extremely sleek and stylish and then you press the bubbles and the small screen appears out of nowhere and unless you are on the home screen, either the music controls or controls to scroll up and down appear behind the bubbles. If you go into the Walkman controls and play a song then the lights in the clear segment at the bottom flash to the beat of the music. On the side of the handset there are two button controls and a switch to lock the bubbles on the front so you don't accidentally press the whilst in your pocket. The top button on the side is the volume controls. Up for louder and down for quieter. The second button is the front screen application key. It changes the application on the mini screen on the front between Radio, Walkman and the Home Screen. Whilst on Radio Mode the Walkman music controls on the bubbles disappear and normal up, down, left and right scroll keys appear. To use the radio you must insert the headphones as they work as an antenna. The speakers which are at the bottom on either side are a bit small and i keep accidentally putting my hand on them and the sound goes a bit muffled but apart from that they are brilliant speakers. They give off a lovely crisp sound and you can change it with the internal Equalizer. On the back the 3.2 MegaPixel is , I think, in the wrong place because as i hold it my finger slide over it and all i get is a black, red, pink splodge. The whole back is covered in a nice to hold, nearly non-grip rubber like material. When you flip open the clamshell you first see the large screen and the circular buttons on the keypad. The buttons are nicely backlit in white and the D-pad at the top is backlit in orange when you turn it on. The D-pad is made up of three sort of circles with the two outer ones consisting of the clear key, the Home key, the call key and the end key with the power and walkman keys underneath. At the very top above the screen is the very discreet video call camera. I think this is a brilliant phone but it is a bit too expensive. It is very stylish and an awesome music player
