The silver case on my Sony Ericsson C702 has worn out, taken 4 times to repair software still not working properly, button stiff and hard to press, worst of all answer and close button have 3 buttons in the same location and you end up pressing wrong button each time. Not recommended.

After just 2 months of normal use of the Sony Ericsson C702, the silver color on the case is going like heal. It appears you will not solve anything if you use the service as solution, I was told it is because of normal wear take paint! Perhaps Sony Ericsson not want to admit that it was a possible manufacturing defect. In my experience u can do nothing to change the phone or to get the money back.

In my experience the Sony Ericsson C702 seems to be unreliable. Mine has been glitchy, the inbuilt photo editor clunky and limited (but hey - its a phone), I find the menu system architecture not particularly well structured. Mine tends to stall and reboot which I find v irritating. The speaker on mine tends to cut out for a second or two during conversations. ( First handset returned because of this, second one returned since it refused to charge). The buttons are too small for my fat fingers ( Or my fat fingers are large for the keyboard). It does have some good points - there's a lens cover on the camera, OK picture quality, reasonable sounds for MP3 headphone and it has very good blue tooth connections with my Honda in car set, but overall in my opinion unsuitable as a business phone.

The Sony Ericsson C702 is a great handset, feels well made with lots of features. The music player is the old Walkman player. The camera is the one off the K800i but with an LED flash which isn't as strong but gives you a video camera lamp and a torch. Signal and battery are strong points, as is the build of the handset. GPS can't rival a true Sat Nav for speed of signal lock but does a good job.
The buttons take a bit of getting used to as they are quite a standard layout but within a few days you won't notice any more. Only the Call and End buttons are a real problem, they are to small.
The ringer is very loud as is the earphone volume.
Overall, one of the best phones I have ever owned.

The Sony Ericsson C702 is the WORST phone I have ever had have sent it back twice and now for good. It is appalling despite having a love for Sony errissons I would not touch it. Am sticking with my old phone and waiting for C905 with a bit of luck the problems will be resolved and instead of 3.5 megapixels you get 8.1

I concur with Guest re: the 702.
The irregular shutdown is a real bind.
I think the battery life s aslo too short for a heavy usage 'phone.
