I like The True Story of an Unwanted Daughter because it is a biography of Adeline Yen Mah, my favourit epart was with her and PLT until he was killed. I love this book its my favourite:) I don't like the part when her friends followed her home and got badly told of by Niang.

The book is so fascinating and also a little sad. The fact that her mom and Nai-Nai died in it was sad. The book was good.

This book was an eye opener to me! Being able to look into her life as a child and seeing the pain she went through, I've realised the attitude of humility in her which i admire most about her. Despite the hardships she pulled through and through her tough experience she can relate to many people around the world who faces the same battles everyday!
This book is a number one seller to me since my heart bought it! I love this autobiography and wishes that every human being should take the time to ...- Read Guest's review (98 words)

Adeline Yen Mah, Chinese Cinderella: The True Story of an Unwanted Daughter (New Century Readers) - I loved this book. This story reflects the life of so many other unwanted children. It's very emotional for me. I'm one of those people who don't react so personally to books, but this book, boy did it get me - that duck! I would sooo recommend it. It will change your life. I don't mean to be drastic but it will give you a whole new perspective to life. It's very educational and you will learn so ...- Read ballababy's review (134 words and 1 comment)

Adeline Yen Mah, Chinese Cinderella: The True Story of an Unwanted Daughter - This book made me cry, but at the same time I felt "relieved." I go through very similar/same, if not worse "experiences". I connected very well to Adeline's life story and I admire her for making it out to the end, and she is an inspiration and someone who gives hope to me that I can make it...- Read Bi hYeSuNg lOvA's review (84 words and 1 comment)

This story brought tears to my eyes as I read about Adeline, a girl who was severely mistreated and hated by her family as a young child. It's truly touching to read about her life as she grows up and discovers that she is a person, not a piece of dirt that her family made her believe that she was. But the best thing is that you see how far she has come, she had an awful childhood, yet she did so well at school, wrote two books, and is now a succesful writer. It is people like this that are trul ...- Read crimson1990's review (114 words)

As I said, Adeline Yen Mah, Chinese Cinderella: The True Story of an Unwanted Daughter is a sad story, and I'm not going to give the punch line! In the front of the book in the author's comments she explained 'it was painful to write this' and I could imagine all the events that happened in the story were true and happened to her! I would recommend it to 10 year olds or over because there is often Chinese names that I myself found hard to pronounce! Overall one of the best books I have read!- Read tom2k4u's review (147 words)
