Bad Points: The food in the buffet restaurantss was a bit repetative with not a lot of choice and if you sat on the top deck you could sometimes get flakes of soot on you or the tables I assume came from the funnel and also there were not enough sun loungers.
General comments: Overall a nice cruise and excellent value for money and would definitley go with them again. The food in the main restaurants was very nice and so was our cabin we had an outside one with a picture window and as it was my husbands birthday they celebrated that with us and also gave us £60 spending money (on board credit) the crew were very polite and always smilng with nothing too much trouble if you asked them to do any thing for you the bars and rest areas were excellent as was the entertainment and we really enjoyed ourselves.

The cruise was excellent. The "Jewel of the Seas" is a great ship and everything provided on board was first class.
The entertainment was very spectacular and well presented.
Staff were helpful and obliging. We were well looked after.
The embarking and disembarking were well controlled and organised.

Using a mobile phone was not always posssible due to "no network" so one needed to plan calls.
In conversations, many people compared both the new Queen Victoria and Queen Mary 2 unfavourably to the QE2. I would subscribe to that view as both the new ships are very much bigger with the Victoria having the appearance akin to a "block of flats" from the shore due to the much greater number of rooms having balconies. If you prefer an inside room my suggestion would be to book early particularly if ...

Good facilities for families. Plenty of kids clubs, but if you prefer to leave the grandchildren at home when you are on holiday, probably not for you.
