“This is a satisfactory product.”

★★★★☆

written by on 02/01/2012

After using the long winded Nice and Easy colourants for years, I saw that Perfect 10 only took 10 minutes - anything to shorten the waiting time. I have used it about 6 times and have been pleased with the result - good colour and my hair feels really soft. I coloured my hair last week and was pleased with the result but now I am noticing the gray appearing, this has not happened before but maybe this was a bad batch.

I got this Perfect 10 on sale - ergo, worth the risk. and voila! my grey is covered, the product washed out v. well and don't understand the bad rub the product has gotten in this forum. My colour? #9 light blonde -- I followed directions because I'm a coward and didn't go beyond 12 minutes. Now, unless it washes out in 2 weeks (as another claimed), I would do it again for sure -- on sale, of course. :) Heck, I've been colouring my hair since my 20's (just for fun) - so I know what's out there...this is fab.
Btw, the ease of application is my happiest point and I have tried other 'comb' applicators, must be the consistency of the product. Well, cheers and please believe me -- I swear, I do not work for Clairol or any other affiliates. Just me being mouthy... yay

“I bought shade 4R Dark Auburn, and I would say I have...”

I bought shade 4R Dark Auburn, and I would say I have light brown/mousey brown hair, which is between shoulder and chin length. Firstly, the ease of application was second to none - the comb attatchment was really easy to use for a first time home-dyer like me, and gave me a lot of coverage over the head very easily. The waiting time was short, and the dye washed out completely from my hair within about 4 minutes. On the downside however, the smell was incredibly over-powering - I had to keep dipping my head in and out of the window to get some fresh air as the smell was simply too much! However, the ColourSeal conditioner smelt lovely and made my hair so soft, even though it came out very soft after I'd washed all the dye out.

In terms of my hair, I'm happy with the results, but it's reasonably lighter than what I expected, so if you're looking for a darker shade I would go for one of the brown shades as opposed to the reds like I did. My hair does look glossy and shiny, but I'm slightly concerned that my roots took the dye a lot more than the actual length of my hair and I have concentrated dye on my roots, so watch how much you apply to the roots etc. Also, even though my hair is only between chin and shoulder length I used about 9/10s of the bottle, so if you have particularly long or thick hair, I would suggest getting two or three bottles! I'm happy with my results though, will use Perfect10 again and I would recommend it to anyone for it's ease of use :)

“I used Clairol Perfect 10 in order to remove my blonde...”

★★★★☆

written by CJWebster on 10/03/2010

I used Clairol Perfect 10 in order to remove my blonde ends and match all my hair up to my natural coloured roots. I bought the medium ash blonde.

Application was very easy and once dried the colour came out very nicely, consistently across all hair.

However less than 2 weeks on a lot of the colour has washed out of the ends and there is a distinct difference in colour. So much so that I am going to give it another go.

In addition to the washing out on the blonder ends, I now notice that it hasn't covered all my few greys.

I will give it another go tomorrow night and see how I get on.

With regards to the condition of my hair, its actually come out really shiny and in good condition, its just a shame the colour hasn't stayed on the ends.

Also please note that the money back guarantee stated on the box ran out on 2009 and is now not valid.

“I would definitely recommend this product as a cheap...”

★★★★☆

written by on 09/02/2010

I would definitely recommend this product as a cheap alternative to salon colouring.

I have been applying it every six weeks or so for the past eight months, and during this time my hair has maintained it's condition, with the dye having no detrimental effect whatsoever.

I am naturally light to medium brown and always use 5A - Medium Ash Brown. To begin with, the colour is rather darker than 'medium' brown, however it is accurate to the colour shown on the box. It also appears rather 'solid', although after three or so washes, it lightens a little, showing more tones and creating a more natural effect.

It is easy to apply, but washing out does take some time, and even after thorough rinsing, some colour still comes out over the next few washes, so take care with your towels!

That said, I remain very satisfied with this product. I am in my mid forties with an 'age appropriate'(!) amount of grey hair which the colour ALWAYS successfully covers, leaving non whatsoever. I do, however, leave the colour on for around 20 minutes. Whether this makes any difference, I do not know.....

But at £4.99 (special offer in Superdrug) it's certainly worth a go!

written by Diamond555 on 21/01/2010

I previously used Recital Preference Lightest Ash Blonde on my hair but it left it with very gold roots and white ends so I wanted a colour which would even out the tone and add a little bit of warmth. I bought NicenEasy perfect 10 in lightest blonde on offer in Asda for £5 and applied it as instructed. I am really pleased with the results and in such a short timescale too. It toned down the gold roots and left my hair really shiny which is a miracle. Contrary to the numerous negative reports this colour worked for me and I would recommend it to others. Compared to the usual development time of 45 mins, 10 minutes is bliss and I will definitely buy it again.

“Just finshed using Clairol Perfect 10 by Nice N' Easy,...”

★★★★☆

written by on 23/08/2009

Just finshed using Clairol Perfect 10 by Nice N' Easy, well I dived right in, didn't do the strand or the sensitivity test.

Whilst I have coloured my hair for years I opted for the all over method as I assumed it must be powerful if it could cover greys in 10 mins and didn't want two-toned hair.

Whilst the smell is not the worst I've experienced, it is on the strong side especially when the head is down covering the back of the hair with the product. It tingled a bit whilst I was waiting but not too uncomfortable and to be honest this is the first time I've experienced any type of sensation when using colours.

I left it on for 10 minutes maybe another 30 secs doing a final massage before rinsing. It took a long time for my hair to run clear, liked the conditioner, though my hair still felt a little course when wet after use.

Finished result, hmmmm a very dark solid colour with no tones (used medium brown and result is a very, very dark brown) and it covered my greys.

Once dry my hair feels soft, though I have felt softer results with other brands, and it looks as though it has just been coloured, I prefer a more natural toned result.

If you like strong coloured, one tone result it's for you.

Given its full price (got mine on special for £3.86) I doubt I will use it again. I am impressed it covered greys in 10 mins though.

Clairol Perfect 10 has worked well for me. Using the $3.00 coupon has helped with the price but I do find the product to be expensive. It comes with a very generous size tube of excellent conditioner.

written by Mrsdavis on 05/03/2009

I will buy Clairol Perfect 10 again. Hopefully I will find it on sale or have a coupon for it. It covered my stubborn greys and made my hair shiny and I really like the comb applicator. I bought the dark brown because I had colored 3 weeks ago with another brand with light brown and it turned my hair blonde because of my 90% grey. The dark brown is very dark, would be pretty on someone with olive skin tone.

written by margaux on 23/07/2008

The Perfect 10 by Nice N' Easy color was a little darker than I expected as I chose dark blonde, but everyone likes it better this way, so I am sold. I found this on a trip to the states, and am finding it difficult to locate in southern Italy, so if anyone knows a store online for italy that would be great news.

I will definitely buy it again, well worth the few dollars extra.

I will get this again and again. I love how my hair looks and I love the fact that it was only 15 min complete time ... I will recommend this to friends for sure. The inly sucky thing is the cost is a little more than the regular Nice and Easy stuff I usually get. 6 $ more in fact. But its worth it for the time saving.
