“Diamond Parking, more like Incompetent parking! DO NOT...”

Called Diamond Parking to confirm we had landed, informed them we had no luggage so would be out very soon. Not only did they keep us waiting in the cold for almost 2 hours without contacting us, we had to call them 5 -6 times for an update. To our horror, they inform us (after lying to us at one point saying the car is on its way) that they 'CAN'T FIND OUR CAR KEY'!!!!! “Could be Improved!”

We phoned 20 minutes before our arrival at Gatwick as instructed yet waited 25 minutes for the car to be collected. I rung again as instructed when we landed 23:30 as we were told the car may take a while to locate and bring round. I called again at baggage reclaim and was told the car would be round. 30 minutes later in the freezing cold after calling again the car finally appeared. Not really the service we paid for! “Rubbish service!”

We used Diamond at Christmas and had no problem getting the car back, however, the driver had managed to leave dogs mess all over the interior foot well, rugs and pedals. I fired off an email to them and they finally offered a free express valet, we just used them again in April and the car was returned to us filthy. Don't like being lied to. Rubbish customer service. “Going the extra mile.”

Recently I had made my way to Gatwick Airport and due to traffic on the M25 I was running extremely late. I phoned ahead to Diamond Parking to tell them of my late arrival and had expected to wait even longer on arrival. The supervisor had informed me that he had managed to get a driver on standby. I spoke with a nice man at Diamond Parking who calmly and slowly explained to me how it worked, how I was to be met and how they would return my car to me. “BANDITS AS EVER - the very definition of disreputable”

Got my car delivered back to Gatwick and the driver made a quick exit. On inspection found damage and broken tail lights, phoned the office immediately; asked to send in 3 quotes. After 3 quotes submitted declined to accept responsibility because I had not informed the driver. They don't reply to emails or letters, just tell all you colleagues never to use them. “Damage to car and then theft!!”

I have used Diamond parking on 3 occasions. The first time went smoothly, but the second time my car was returned with a small dent in the drivers side front panel. However, I decided to give them another chance... BIG mistake. “This company stole our sat nav”

We returned from a flight from Toronto on the 1st August , my husband went to work the next day to find his sat nav had been stolen. As we have to use the m25 it's always best to take it along with us incase we have to divert. We have sent two emails to the company and reported it to Sussex police. I won't ever use the company again. It's obvious it's an inside job as there was no sign of forced entry. (read more)

We left our car with these diamond THEIFS from the 30th june until 14th July 2012 on our return we were handed our keys (no paperwork signed) and the driver very quickly disappeared. Diamond Parking is not a registered member of the British Parking Association and on investigation their 'premises' are not fit for purpose.

I use the meet and greet parking at most airports throughout the uk and I have to say these cowboys are the most unprofessional people I've ever used. To be fair they were there in time to pick the car up but the driver looked like a homeless guy. Very scruffy and no ID so was very reluctant to leave my car but as I was running late for my flight I didn't have much choice. Used service July 2011, driver arrived on time at Gatwick South, no problems, but had an accident whilst driving to their car park, which was not the fault of the driver. Trouble began when trying to sort the claim out. I was left to do all the running around, getting quotes, constantly chasing Diamond Parking. “Fantastic Service”

I read some of the reviews after I had booked with Diamond and a few days before I travelled. I was concerned! However, the service was faultless. I have a £35k Mercedes which is 3 months old and I was nervous after reading some of the reviews. Used Diamond for the first time and have to admit there wasn't a problem with them. The call to them was made just as i left the M25 onto the M23, less than twenty minutes away. We were told where to drive the car to at Gatwick and they arrived at the same time as us. I left Southampton with a full tank of Diesel and when I handed it over there was still 3 quarters left and the +- 90 miles on the Speedo. Outbound - met us withing 10 mins of arriving. Inbound - called when flight landed (2345hrs) and then again when cleared customs as instructed, was told they would be about 20 minutes as they were busy. Eventually after calling them numerous times the car was brought to us at 0130hrs with an excuse that another car had a flat battery. I too had a good experience with Diamond Parking Services. Prompt Efficient and where accommodating to our early arrival. Even though we called in over 1 hour early to be collected.

Outbound They make you wait at the petrol station until they are ready to meet you at the Meet and Greet Inbound They were over 30 minutes late with my car. Driver admitted he was the only driver on duty. Would of been quicker to get my car from the car park and not pay the extra premium. Complained about the service (over 5 weeks) and they offered a discount when I next use them. Who in there right mind would want to go with a company that let them down. Outbound: the driver was 20 mins late and I was being threatened with a parking ticket outside gatwick. He said he'd put a note on the file to make sure we got good service on the return leg of the journey. Inbound: The driver was 25 min late. He said they only had 2 drivers on that day, even though they had 4 parties on the same flight, meaning it was impossible to provide the quick service they promise. turned up so late we almost missed our flight, desite folowing their instructions to the letter. we had to wait around for 15 mins on return, despite being told we had been moved to a priority booking after the delays to the outbound pick-up. car returned with a scratch on the door and they forgot to wash and valet the car, which i had already pre-paid. They are not meant to drive your cars ect!! They only drive them about if they like them, ( they pick out Audi, porch, BMW, and mainly fast / new cars!) by picking up other drivers cause they want to look an feel smart driving customers nice cars about. Just because they have old heaps of cars of there own which are damaged with wing mirrors missing, big dents in there cars n scratched up paintwork!! Iv seen it for myself!! Also they say they valet cars ( standard to gold valet) that's a lie! The state of there jet washing system.... And they don't even polish the cars!! The car park security man is an alcoholic... And some of the workers drink whilst on duty at night. An most of them are so tired where they'r so over worked as there isn't enough staff drivers. A few drivers have crashed customers cars and got sent home for the night to rest up for the next day. It's terrible!! The carpark is next to a shared house that have a group of black thugs in that stole a BMW off the premesis. Because one of the night drivers had been drinking and left the cabbing unlocked for them to steal the keys that are not locked up at all. The large area for all the cars that are parked is not fenced off/ secured ect. An there are always company drivers that are in and out of the driveway which could damage some cars....

I have used them 3 times before without a problem but this time my car was scratched and they didn't want to know. Was given lots of false information. I sent estimates as requested but calls never asnwered and once they realised who was calling i was cut off every time. as per the other reviews don't bother with this company. they were very late when I arrived at Gatwick causing me to nearly miss my outward flight (very stressful). on return i had to wait for at least 20 minutes, they went to the wrong terminal and were not apologetic AT ALL. (read more)

Diamond Parking are a shoddy old bunch. I have used them before and to be honest, the first time around i was reasonably happy with the experience despite a wait when we arrived for our outbound flight and again a wait on return. But that is acceptable due to traffic etc.

This time was a different story. I reset the mileage on the clock before handing over the keys. The car came back with just over 30 miles on the clock and the petrol light on. Not great! The car also came back with mud all... (read more)

Diamond Valet Parking kept us waiting for 25 minutes on arrival at Gatwick - causing us to nearly miss our flights. On return we had a nightmare. Spoke to at least 3 different people over two hours, when the mobile number that we had been given was answered, which it often was not. Head office number never picked up or calls returned. October booked car was damaged when returned to us, Hard to get hold off to discuss damage, we got a quote but they would not except this, they eventually sent there compnay out and then heard nothing, we then served small claim notice against them, Jan 12th Paul contacted us and said they did not want to go to court so we discussed a settlement, when chq came was £45.00 short, after sever emails will not anser.

“Wanted to have a valet service as our return flight...”

Wanted to have a valet service as our return flight was getting in quite late and didn't want to have to wait around for buses. We called Diamond 20 min before arriving at the airport as requested, only to have to wait 30 minutes after arriving for them to show up (50min from initial call). The excuse given was traffic; I find that very unlikely considering it was 10am on a Sunday morning, right after new years eve! We booked with Diamond for our xmas break from Gatwick. After I booked I read this site for review, and must admit I was worried about it. We carried on anyway, met at airport to take both cars,(two family trip)had a walk round checked the mileage together etc, off we went.

Booked Diamond meet and greet service for 5am boxing day. Rang repeatedly for the advised 20 minutes prior to arrival at Gatwick with no response. Ended up having very stressful dash to long term car park. We made our flight but it was an experience not to be repeated. Met OK on outward journey although we were a little early. On return met with driver as arranged; however he didn't hang around to check vehicle and I discovered that diesel was pouring out of diesel line in engine compartment and the rear of the car covered with diesel residue. Called breakdown service; agent could give no explanation how line could become disconnected. Re-connection was simple permanent push-fit but with a loss of probably half a tank of diesel. I used diamond parking in October on a trip to Spain, the service was efficient and friendly and I was given a good discount and priority parking as I had a young child with me. My car was picked up 10 minutes after I arrived at Gatwick and was delivered to me around 15 minutes after my return. Having used other parking services in the past, I would say that Diamond parking are the best thus far. I would recommend them any time. (read more)

OCT 2010> DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY!! I am so upset that I didnt check their reviews first. They clocked up over 1000 miles on my car then denied it as I did not get the milage verified with their driver. The car looked like it was in a dirty field. I had to pay £75 for a proper valet and they had the cheek to offer me £30. They were also over 30 minutes late. I am taking them to the small claims court as I am not going to let them get away with this. (read more)

I found this review very helpful because... it's exactly what happened to us with this company - car returned dirty, obviously had been hard-driven, they were late turning up, and have not responded coherently to our complaints.
