General comments: I bought a Suzuki Grand Vitara from CarCraft in Newport South Wales on the 18-10-07.
I have had nothing but trouble with this company ever since.
The vehicle never had a parcelshelf, but I was told by the salesman that he would get one for me and the car was not valeted, he said that this would be done before I collect the car, none of this was, there was cigarette ends still in the ashtray.
After several telephone calls, CarCraft sent me a cheque for £100 to get myself a parcelshelf, which I done.
They then sent me a cheque for £50 to have the car valeted, I banked the cheque, but was then told by my bank that the cheque had bounced. Yet again more telephone calls, they then sent another cheque for £30 instead of £50, yet again more telephone calls.
I then received the other £20.
On the 26-11 I had trouble selecting gears. I had two mechanics road test the car, who then told me I had a clutch problem, I telephoned CarCraft Warranty, of which I had three months warranty with, on the 26-11 who said it is booked in for the 27-11 at Newport at 10am so I took time from work and took the car over.
On arrival I went into the reception and gave my details and they said "your car is booked for the 4-12", I explained that the person who I had spoke to told me the 27th at 10am and that they do not do gearbox or clutches at Newport anyway but they will try to help and someone will road-test it there, a guy came out roadtested it and said there was a problem with it, they then telephoned somebody else who does cluches who said that they will do the work and to collect the car later that day. So myself and my wife walked off for the day.
I returned at 3.30 to enquire if there was any news, to which we were told that CarCraft guys had gone to collect the car. When they returned I enquired if the clutch was fitted they told me they had just greased the gear stick. So I took the car home.
The following day on my way to work the original problem is still there only this time I also have a rattling from underneath the gear stick, so again I telephoned the warranty, explained yet again and was told this time that there was nobody to take my call and that I have to telephone again tomorrow. It is costing me a fortune in telephone calls just to have a nice car.

I called in to the Newport branch of Carcraft this afternoon while out browsing for a new car for my girlfriend. Initial impressions were very good. Upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly staff member who inquired as to what exactly we were looking for. We replied that we were looking for a small runabout (Corsa, Fiesta, Punto etc) with a budget of £3,500 with a car to part exchange as well. We were taken to the back of the showroom where all the smaller cars were stored. It was q ...

The finance quotes that I received from Carcraft were misleading. Hard sell techniques. Don't use them.

I bought a Smart Roadster. 2 months of dry weather, then we got lots of rain - my footwells began to fill with water. There is obviously a leak somewhere. I've rang Carcraft customer services & was told, in so many words, that they really don't care & I should ring NAC (I have the 2 years free cover). So I did. Conveniently, NAC do not cover water leaks. I have now emailed Carcraft & am awaiting a reply. My car was almost £9,000. I do not expect to pay that much for a vehicle to have it fi ...

When buying a 4 year old car we opted for the NAC warranty to ensure the car was maintained appropriately at minimal cost should anything go wrong; buying ourselves peace of mind and a risk free car in our minds which the salesman confirmed was correct and a sensible decision. The best thing we were told by the salesman was that "Unlike other inferior warranties' you don't have to pay for the work then reclaim the costs from us - we pay the garage direct." As you will read in a bit this is not ...

Having purchased a car from Car Craft in Newport, South Wales, we were told that before we take the car away we would need to have their warranty (NAC), we had a choice of 2, a basic and an advanced as we were buying a 3 year old techically advanced car we decided on the more expensive one just in case the car came across a major problem. Well that is what happened , 1st the gear box, flywheel, clutch had to be replaced at a considerable cost luckily to Peugeot as NAC said that their warranty do ...

My wife and myself visited Carcraft in Newport Gwent, to browse at their vehicles as we are in the market for a new car. Upon arrival we were shocked to be told that we needed an appointment to view the cars, but if we gave five minutes of our time to the salesman we could 'have a look to our hearts content'. We were then taken to what appeared to be a reception area where we subjected to about 15 minutes of questions regarding the type of car we were looking for and the amount we were expecting ...
