General comments: I was going to buy a Seat Ibiza from Carcraft for my pregnant wife to drive. I parted with my hard earned money and the following day the car broke down. I had it towed to CC, their own "engineer" diagnosed a fault with the electical harness within 10 seconds of looking at it! it had been through their checklist AND service. We had a lucky escape, would never even bother walking into their show room again.

The cars may be just OK but don't touch the warrenty with a barge pole. When my Mondeo, purchased from carcraft, made a knocking noise from the clutch area it was diagnosed with a faulty "Dual Mass" flywheel. I contacted their warrenty company NAC who advised me that as the car was still drivable they would not assist or cover the cost or repair and that........ wait for this one...... the knocking noise was a charecteristic of the vehicle. I knew then that my £500 warrenty was a joke. Wh ...

We recently bought a car from Carcraft in Newport in October. We were there for five hours. We inquired about the car tax we left on the car we part exchanged and were told it would be refunded to us by cheque. When we contacted them to ask where it was we were told it wasn't there policy to do so. We were promised a second set of car keys and still haven't received them. I phoned the rep numerous time asking him to call me back but he never did. They were all over us when they wanted the sale a ...

Bought a great car from Carcraft newport, had the car 3 years and not so much as a cough from the engine. No breakdowns, just a reliable good sound car. As one earlier comment says you always hear about the ones that breakdown, but as I think they sell about 2 cars a day from the Newport site alone, you can always expect some to have a problem. I came here because I was fed up with Main dealers ripping you off. Got as good a car less money and very reliable.

I bought a Suzuki Grand Vitara from CarCraft in Newport South Wales on the 18-10-07.

I have had nothing but trouble with this company ever since.

The vehicle never had a parcelshelf, but I was told by the salesman that he would get one for me and the car was not valeted, he said that this would be done before I collect the car, none of this was, there was cigarette ends still in the ashtray.

After several telephone calls, CarCraft sent me a cheque for £100 to get myself a parcelshelf, w ...

I called in to the Newport branch of Carcraft this afternoon while out browsing for a new car for my girlfriend. Initial impressions were very good. Upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly staff member who inquired as to what exactly we were looking for. We replied that we were looking for a small runabout (Corsa, Fiesta, Punto etc) with a budget of £3,500 with a car to part exchange as well. We were taken to the back of the showroom where all the smaller cars were stored. It was q ...

The finance quotes that I received from Carcraft were misleading. Hard sell techniques. Don't use them.

I bought a Smart Roadster. 2 months of dry weather, then we got lots of rain - my footwells began to fill with water. There is obviously a leak somewhere. I've rang Carcraft customer services & was told, in so many words, that they really don't care & I should ring NAC (I have the 2 years free cover). So I did. Conveniently, NAC do not cover water leaks. I have now emailed Carcraft & am awaiting a reply. My car was almost £9,000. I do not expect to pay that much for a vehicle to have it fi ...

When buying a 4 year old car we opted for the NAC warranty to ensure the car was maintained appropriately at minimal cost should anything go wrong; buying ourselves peace of mind and a risk free car in our minds which the salesman confirmed was correct and a sensible decision. The best thing we were told by the salesman was that "Unlike other inferior warranties' you don't have to pay for the work then reclaim the costs from us - we pay the garage direct." As you will read in a bit this is not ...

Having purchased a car from Car Craft in Newport, South Wales, we were told that before we take the car away we would need to have their warranty (NAC), we had a choice of 2, a basic and an advanced as we were buying a 3 year old techically advanced car we decided on the more expensive one just in case the car came across a major problem. Well that is what happened , 1st the gear box, flywheel, clutch had to be replaced at a considerable cost luckily to Peugeot as NAC said that their warranty do ...

My wife and myself visited Carcraft in Newport Gwent, to browse at their vehicles as we are in the market for a new car. Upon arrival we were shocked to be told that we needed an appointment to view the cars, but if we gave five minutes of our time to the salesman we could 'have a look to our hearts content'. We were then taken to what appeared to be a reception area where we subjected to about 15 minutes of questions regarding the type of car we were looking for and the amount we were expecting ...
