What a set of bankers. I went with a budget of approximately 100 pounds per month, after being relentlessly pressurised and manipulated I almost buckled into signing up to a deal for 154 pounds per month. After 3 hours of these salesmen trying to get every last penny out of me , I was taken into to the finance room where I was told I would need to increase my monthly payments to 225 pounds a month, 3 Bloody hours of my time! On our first visit to Carcraft we showed some interest in a car but told the salesman that we were looking at our options but not buying anything until the following week. He pressed us into taking it out for a test drive and insisted that we were under no obligation to make a purchase. After the drive he began to offer discounts to the price, which it seems, were only valid if we took the car there and then. We told the salesman no and left. I went to carcraft today with my partner, who's looking for a new car to get an idea for when the current one runs out on the just add fuel scheme and I must say we will never be going again. I bought my first car from Carcraft Leeds and was completely taken advantage of. The staff pounce on you the moment you walk through the door and hound you constantly. Being a first time buyer I was admittedly pretty green and the staff took full advantage. When checking the finance deal the member of staff came back saying the only finance deal available to me was way over what we'd discussed. i brought a veh 6mths ago have had a problem with it it was sent to another garage to be sorted out as carcraft dont have fully qualified mechanics tobe able to fix cars it was taken for a service in january and that wasnt even done i then had to pay for a full service at another garage to have it done right. i am still having the same problem with the car so the car is going back to carcraft for good i would never ever tell anyone to get a car from there the car is twice the price i should... Where to start? Purchased Zafira 06 plate with expensive added warranty. I explained how important reliabilty was as i look after children and my elderly mother. Was promised a car replacement if anything needed doing. Then the list of problems began - altinator cost £300 - "sorry not covered by warranty"...no replacement car - then new battery ( well ok ). The cars are way over priced i have friend who worked there and have been told some of the cars are almost double the price they paid, and that some of the sales staff try to sell you a full up deal and delibratly rip you off! Called in at Carcraft in Leeds to browse as my girlfriend is looking for a new car, hopefully a mini. We were pounced on as soon as we walked in and given all the sales rubbish. The guy who spoke to us was polite enough but he made a point of telling us to ignore the screen price, "we can work out an affordable deal for you" he said. Never i mean NEVER EVER buy a car from Carcraft. I have been totally ripped off, when they saw me walk in the shop they really did say KERCHING!!!!!! Paid £3,500 for my 03 MGZR, which was a bit pricey but thats ok, needed the car on finance so expected it to be a bit pricey, but also paid £2,500 for NAC 4 year Warranty - which I was advised to buy as the head gaskets are faulty on Rover's - so lets work this out - for an 03 MG ZR I paid (with warranty) £6,000. Bought a lovely car from Carcraft Leeds and although there has been a lot of negative reviews about this company we have been OK so far. Saying that we did have a full AA report before we agreed to buy the car something I would recommend to everyone if they are not sure about any car company. We bought a Freelander from Carcraft Leeds for £10,000 (Later found out they were going for £6500 Private) OK... So lesson learned. We'd part ex'd our Picasso and got £3500 for it. Would never buy another car from Carcraft and wish I had found and read all of the reviews about them on this site.
PS If you do decide to use Carcraft don't bother trying to claim under the NAC warranty because it isn't worth the paper it is written on...!

The whole Car Craft experience was as they say in their ads nice and easy. I visited the Leeds store at Junction 28 on M62 and was met by a really helpful salesman. After understanding what I was looking for I was quickly shown to an 04 registered Mondeo hatchback. We took it for a short test drive after which we had a negotiation on my car which I ended up thinking was a pretty good deal. (read more)

I bought a mondeo from carcraft, and was given the free warranty, The salesman told me it was a good warranty if anything goes wrong with the car take it streigt to a ford dealer and they will do the work, do not pay anything out. dixon fords have no contract with this warranty company. when i phoned carcraft i was told by a snotty young girl, sorry i cannot act on what was discussed with you and the rep,,,cop out. now i have a £12.000 car on my drive awaiting repair, when i can afford it, i should have gone to a small garage and saved myself a fortune.

Carcraft - They get you to sit down and discuss a deal that would suit you, your budget... but then after you have signed they slowly reveal the fine print and you end up paying loads more than you were told before you signed. I will never buy from them again and would advise anyone else not to deal with them in any way. Honest people do not deserve the dishonest treatment that Carcraft gives with a smile. (read more)

I tried to purchase a Car at Carcraft in leeds. They did not want to sell the car for the price on the screen. I wanted to pay in cash but they told me I had to make a credit deal. They then told me that the car is not for sale as they would make more money from credit deal rather than cash. The staff had bad customer service. Would not go to carcraft at leeds again.
