Unlucky you are with AAMI, just had a car accident and I am insured with AAMI, it took 5 days to assess my car and after numerous phone call I have just been told that my car is now in a crash repairer of AAMI's choice and I don't have any input to it. Worst of all it will takes over a month to fix my car. Just stay clear of AAMI as this cheap insurer will rip you off one you make a claim. THEY ARE THE WORST. ...

AAMI should change they're theme song to"UNLUCKY....YOU'RE WITH AAMI" AAMI pride themselves as the top motor insurer in Aust with all those ads in the media. But in actual fact they couldn't be any worst!!! The quoting system for 2 idendependent repairer is usually found only in budget/cheap/limited features and services insurance company. How can AAMI claim themselves as one of the best!! BULL!! I now have to look for 2 repairers and if my preferred repairer didn't quote a competitive...

I have been totally dissatisfied with AAMI. Knowing that they will continue to support and use repairers who do not perform to scratch is disappointing. This is a serious quality control issue. I think it is better to choose an insurance company who allows you some choice in who will fix your car, AAMI certainly does not provide this....
