Third Archers tour I have done as I single traveller. Return flight with BA had a later time and no way could I get home by train. Archers put me up in an airport hotel on my return which I was grateful for. Nice group of people on tour, good mix from Canada USA Australia plus us English. Returned from a well paced and interesting trip to USA and Canada with Archers with whom we have been travelling all over the world for the past 10 years. I chose this tour as I was travelling with my disabled son and it appeared that we would be met and supported throughout. Arriving at JFK New York there was no one to meet us, which was quite upsetting. On our tour we were not the only travellers not to be collected from the airport. “Recommend with reservations”

Returned from the Western Wonders Tour in September. Very busy but distances are great so understandable. The only reservation we have is the quality and situation of the hotels on tour. Many of them were not very close to the towns and cities we were visiting and when you are only there for one night you need to be right in the centre. “Great tour of Deep South”

Just returned from a coach tour of the Deep South. This is the first trip we have done with Archers and would definitely use them again. Our tour director Kris and driver Mark were excellent and very informative. Breakfast was supplied with some of the hotels but would have been better at all hotels for additional cost. This tour included some fantastic cities. The coach was comfortable and well driven by Dietmar. Most of the hotels were good but Hotel Kavalier in Vienna and Hotel Rivoli in Munich were definitely not 4 star! The included breakfasts were good on the whole with selections of fruit and cereals, cold meats and cheeses and varying standards of "English Breakfast". Well pre tour was not good as my original date was cancelled at the last moment. I asked for written confirmation of the cancellation as my friend had lost 200 Euros on airfares and I had would have to book new rail tickets. I received no reply to my E-Mail regarding this, nor when I enquired about the price of the new tour being the same as my original one. “Accident in North America”

Last year my husband completely tore his quadruceps tendon in the car park of the farmers market hollywood. We were on day 2 of 16 day tour of the west coast of the usa. Totally no back up from archers with the the process of getting home. Coach just drove off leaving us abandoned. After hospital diagnosis an operation was advised to be done within 9 days. just returned from captivating china tour. must say fantastic the people on the tour were great as was the tour director(Li)Places visited knocked your socks off.Plenty of fun and laughter. So I am planning a 3 week trip to the USA and had heard about Archers. However, I would not pass on a recommendation as I didn't even make it to booking. firstly I noticed the 0800 number given which costs a fortune to call. My friend and I have recently returned from a cruise booked through Archers, "Baltic Capitals" aboard the Costa Luminosa. Our departure date was 24th May 2014. I unfortunately was taken ill only 24 hours into the cruise and diagnosed with pneumonia. I was told by the ships medical staff that my condition was potentially life threatening and that I was too ill to continue with the cruise. I booked a trip to Sicily & Sorrento in February 2014 to travel on 25th July 2104 for 2 weeks. Despite being told at the time of booking that we would be transferred from Naples airport straight to our overnight hotel in Sorrento without having to wait around for other UK flights to arrive I have received travel documentation to the contrary. I booked a holiday with this Archers Holidays in January to Dubrovnik & Montenegro,as it was a Which reccommended company and flew from Manchester. Only to arrive at the airport at 5am to find the flight had been booked for 15/05/14 instead of 15/06/14 so therfore no flight was booked for us that day. Last year we booked a River Cruise and being the first was looking forward to it. We arrived only to find out when we were on the boat out cabins had been downgraded to the lower deck. may I preface my report by saying that I have been using Archers for over 20 years without any issues. However this season (2014) they have introduced a new system of booking which has turned the company into a disaster. Way back in August of last year, I enquired about the price of a holiday ( Tour of Galicia and River Douro cruise) for June 2014. In July 2013 i booked a holiday to the USA for this August 2014. I asked for Domestic flights and cabin upgrades on the US leg of the flights. It is now 4 weeks until the final balance is due. I have not had a complete invoice from the start to what I am paying for. I have phoned them umpteen times in the past few months. Ditto. Just back today and too tired to put together the catalogue of disasters due to the incompetence of Archers. I will post it on here later in the week. My only advice at the moment.... Don't use Archers holidays!!!
