Good Points: Vehicle seemed reasonably priced and there appeared to be good bargains on the forecourt.

Bad Points: Salesman asked me to produce photographed identity which was unavailable. They said I had been notified and told to produce this on collection. I had already paid a deposit the previous week on debit card and on the day I was collecting the vehicle had arranged an electronic bank transfer and was able to produce this documentation including my signature. The hassle continued for ages at the garage and then they realised their mistake as the firm only took photographed identity photos from people buying cars on hire purchase. The member of staff had actually at one point offered me a full rebate of all my money on the bankers transfer sheet plus my deposit and the return of my part exchanged vehicle - now does that make sense - if I had been stealing another persons identity I would have been financially well of with that kind of offer!! Before taking the car I noticed there was no cigarette lighter and the salesman said they had all been removed from all of their vehicles due to the ban on smoking in cars. Well that is fine but what you have instead of the lighter is an uncapped hole. Fortunately this was filled by the lighter from my previous part exchange vehicle. I then took my new purchase from the garage and arrived at a friends house. They noticed the tax disc in the window was missing which was included in the deal. Eventually after contacting the salesman this was delivered to my friend's house and pushed through the letterbox. On my way home from Liverpool I also stopped at a relatives house to show them the car and they noticed the rear passenger light was not working. Upon closer inspection in daylight I noticed the whole rear light was half filled up with water due to a crack on the light cover which let in water. On trying to contact the showroom the salesman was unavailable due to having the day off, the member of staff would not come to the phone, and there was an implication that the light might have been alright when it left the garage. They were to check with the salesman when he returned to work. It is pretty obvious the crack on the light is an old one and I get the feeling that this marks the beginning of more hassle from this company so watch this space. Incidentally I don't know how the salesman would know about the cracked light. Despite his promises to show me the vehicle controls, spare tyre and jack before leaving the garage - there was no vehicle inspection at all. So watch this space. The salesman had said he would show me the controls for the vehicle and let me see the spare tyre and jack. He failed to do any vehicle inspection. do either and no vehicle inspection was made before it left their premises. Watch this space please.

General comments: The company seem to work on fast turnover of vehicles There is no scope for flexibility just tight procedures. If they had thought the matter out further there would have been no difficulty with this purchase.

A couple of weeks after buying the car I noticed that after I had been driving for approx 40mins plus, a squeak was coming from the car. The exhaust was also blowing. I called around to the car showroom where I bought the car, in Aigburth, only to find that it was closed down. After making a phone call they told me to ring the car showroom in Sefton Street, Liverpool. I explained the whole thing to the young lady who put me through to someone else, when again I explained the whole tale. This ti ...
