Adjustable racks make pots, pans, chopping boards and large plates a breeze. As always read the instructions before using or you will post a poor review due to user errors :-)

This is the worst dishwasher in the entire universe!!!! Whenever I put dishes in the dishwasher it comes out just like I put it in before. DIRTY AND DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!! I have to wash it with my own hands to be able to use it!

KENWOOD - KDW60X13 Dish Washer Wow'd by the shiny stainless steel, but too tight to pay for a decent name I now wish I had done my homework better. There are several problems: - normal sized dinner plates do not fit - they interfere with the rotor arm and so it won't wash. The baskets are not adjustable so it is not possible to wash plates in it. - when you do manage to fill it, it is very poor at washing the dishes. So much so that I now have to rinse everything before I load it and even then it still often doesn't clean properly. If you load it as designed it doesn't clean between the plates or bowls. If you space things out, then it just about manages, so you end up washing half a load. The upper cage sits so snugly to the inside of the machine that if there are any pieces of food (God forbid) then they get stuck against the door and stay there until you open it. I think the ratings around water use and energy have meant that we look at the star rating above whether it works or not. I have tried to return the product to Currys (won't buy here again) but they are not interested.

Kenwood KDW60X13 Delivered December 2014, the looks of this machine and clean lines along with the kenwood name swayed me to buy rather than Miele or Aeg my preferences. Long term review in service, washes really well love the solid feel of the door and controls stainless steel to casing really nice . However Many problems experienced 1 top spray arm falls off not because of loading but press fit in ineffective when up to temperature it simply pops off. 2 some noise reduction wadding fell out of door if had som moisture reducing product in it, bit noises now 3 no longer heats up PCB needed to be replaced 4 roller on upper tray is really poor quality feel after 4 months use they are sticky 5 Kenwood support is poor compared to other suppliers typically 5 to 10 day response for a call for warranty repair then a further 5 days to send engineer. After 4 months I would not recommend this to anyone quality is main concern and having looked at other reviews and repair advisors my experience is not unusual there is a trend forming Great looking but let down by manufacturer build quality , service and support, please note paid £360 for this appliance which is mid to high end price so very disappointing

Bought this a couple of months ago. Was influenced by the sale price at Curry's but I wish I had researched before buying as it is a very disappointing piece of equipment. If and when it breaks down I will replace it immediately with something better! It's poorly fitted out, and very flimsy. It dries neither the cutlery or the dishes so at the end of the day you have to have a tea towel handy as you unload before you can put stuff away which of course defeats the object. My previous machine was a Bosch and I wish I had gone back to that make. I was under the impression Kenwood was a recognised manufacturer. It may be for other things but certainly not for dishwashers. I wasted my money on a poor quality item. Do not recommend anyone to buy one.

Brilliant dishwasher. Reading reviews about not being able to put full size plates on bottom and that the arm catches on them. This dishwasher is ADJUSTABLE and the top tray can be raised so that full size plates can be put in straight without the washer arm hitting them. Empty top tray, unclip two runner stoppers at end of runner. Take out basket, use raiser wheels underneath the tray, slot back in and put clips on end of runner. Simple. Cleans well, runs well. Hope this helps other people.

Many thanks for your advice. You were far more useful than currys and even Kenwood service centres. A very simple fix that has saved a huge amount of time and hassle!

Thank you for this review - especially the tip on how to raise the height of the top tray! You have solved a puzzle and enabled us to fit our large plates in the dishwasher. Another reminder to RTFM!

Had a similar problem & thought it was odd for a modern dishwasher. Read this review & referred to the manual & problem sorted. Many thanks.

Normal size plates do not fit in the bottom section without the spinning arm hitting them unless you turn them so they are leaning towards the rear of the machine, this then hinders closing the front door as it pushes the bottom basket out. knife and fork tray is flimsy and poof fitting. there is nowhere for normal glasses to stand in top tray without falling over. self drying mode does not dry dishes. very poor cleaning, you have to clean the dishes before you put them in the dishwasher, defeating the whole purpose of buying the thing in the 1st place. dishes are left sloppy after washing as if the detergent has not been rinsed off adequately. Looks great but thats it. wish I had researched better before buying.

Worst dishwasher ever, normal sized plates don't fit as it stops the sprayer from rotating, I have put up with it for a year now but can't handle anymore... I have 7 kids and busy job and need a dishwasher but this one is more hassle than it's worth, I've had to wash dishes everyday since it was bought! My husband doesn't even use it because of the state of the dishes after a cycle.. Never again will I buy a kenwood !! I wouldn't even give it away to someone to use as I know how rubbish it is! Total waste of my money wished I hadn't bothered!

Had a fault in first couple of months, had it fixed, worked absolutely fine from then on. Spray bar can catch on tall things in bottom basket, but nothing i couldn't work around. Things were always clean after cycle.

I have been really disappointed with our purchase of a kenwood dishwasher. It is very flimsy on the inside. My dinner plates (which are normal evening meal sized plates) do not fit in as they prevent the arms from spinning. Most importantly, however, some cups and most glasses come out dirty after the wash cycle. I have tried different wash cycles and different tablets to no avail. I have had this dishwasher for four months and am saving up for a new one. This one will be sent to the tip!

I totally concurr with this reviewer. It is a hopeless machine that has never cleaned very well from the start> I have put up with mine for nearly 7 years and now getting something decent that does the job in 30 min cycle. It never ever cleans a shallow pasta bowl and I have spent a small fortune on different machine cleaning detergents.

Dishes never properly cleaned or dried despite 2 hour cylcles. Strange smells despite regular cleaning. Give me back the old Hotpoint we had. It was 20 years old and only replaced because of colour. This one is junk.

My dishwasher arrived looking lovely. Then I discovered I could not fit my plates into the racks. I perused the manual, but couldn't find aything relevant that jumped out at me. I decided that as it did look so good I would go out and buy some smaller plates. They didn't fit either. Finally I realised that the adjustments could be made to the top runner. Why didn't the makers have it set to fit normal plates in the first place? The washing cycles are many and long, but none are named or numbered, thus whomsoever wrote the manual should be given a short course in instructional writing, then the user would not need to be quite so creative.

One word rubbish! Does not clean well and the cutlery basket bottom has fallen out nearly two years old we shall be swapping this as we are fed up with having to rewash by hand !

Absolutely agree - bought the same model - total rubbish. Never worked from day one . Does not clean bleeps all the time and shows E4 which is error. Been fixed under warranty many many tines - now on first name terms with service guy. Now out of warranty not prepared to pay for fixing. Going to buy a new one WILL NOT BE KENWOOD - avoid at all costs.

We bought this machine 2 years ago and 2 weeks into using it the seal around the door corroded, As it was so new Kenwood (Reluctantly) agreed to send an engineer out. When he arrived he siliconed the same corroded seal back in place although made the mistake of doing it upside down, immediately the machine started leaking. We called the engineers back out and they scraped the seal off and then stuck the same corroded seal back around the door with silicone sealant although this time the right way round. The seal kept falling out the door and getting trapped between the wall and rail highly frustrating. We located a new seal ourselves for £3.99 off buy spares and proceeded to fix the seal ourselves. As the machine was used the cycles never completed properly and all our glasses had a sandy built up around the bottom. We gutted the machine with cleaners and salts etc etc spent a lot of money on the expensive products and still the glassware was coming out dirty. We called the engineers back out again and were told that we shouldn't use rinse aid in the machine as that was the problem. As we couldn't afford to replace this machine we have muddled on with it until Monday this week I put on a cycle, went to drop my daughter off at school and luckily forgot my purse so had to return home, when I walked in there was a rancid electrical smell in the house, I went to the kitchen and found the dishwasher smoking and flames licking up from inside the door, the seal had completely worn away and the steam had got into the electrics. The wash cycle still had 1hour and 10 minutes remaining and I doubt my house would be standing now if I hadn't come home and gone straight to work. Kenwood needs to recall this product immediately to save something dreadful happening to someone not as fortunate. Avoid at all Costs. Awful service, Awful Machine.

I have had mine for just 2 years. It doesn't wash properly and it throws water out of the bottom of the door. Total waste of £320. When the first one arrived it packed up after a week and was replaced. Go for a named brand and forget Kenwood.

Error code after error code, this machine should have never got onto the market, continuously blocks up, have dumped mine after 18months

Just less than four years old. Soap dispenser replaced five times, the last time no longer under warranty (about 140 Canadian dollars). Now it needs a pump replacement at about 360 Canadian dollars. Doesn't wash particularly well. Time to junk it and buy another - but NOT one of these!
