Purchased a vehicle from a dealer on Motors website. The site guarantees that hpi checks have been completed. I have since discovered that the car was written off and is a class N Contacted Motors disputes to be told they do not offer buyers protection. The car is unsafe and dangerous. I would never have purchased the car if I was aware it had been in an accident. If I had been made aware that the car had not had the guaranteed checks I would have completed them myself. If you have purchased through this site Do Not Trust their background checks!!! The dealer I purchased from through this site has 25+ cars for sale… how many others are dangerous? Stay clear of this company!!!!

I wasted almost 2 hrs searching and ringing cars that I thought were for sale. the smart search is anything but, just a gimmick that returns the same results time after time regardless of how you change what you're looking for. How can a Suzuki Alto fit 4 fit people, turn heads and a dog? - rang 4 cars and all 4 were sold by perplexed dealers who thought theyd cancelled months ago but their cars were still being listed!!! after 10 mins on AutoTrader found exactly what I wanted and surprise surprise it was still for sale, bought it the next day

I tried to search for a popular make and model and the site spat out everything accept what I was after. So I went onto autotrader for instant success.

Have been regularly checking this site but it's always the same vehicles and all my requests to contact the sellers have come to nothing despite the vehicles continuing to be shown as for sale days later

After seeing the new advert online I decided to see what the site was like as I've used AutoTrader in the past but often find lots of ads where the car has already been sold. I rang 4 ads from Motors .co.uk and all cars were available and the site was really easy to use and not cluttered. Will use this site again I when I need to look for my next car.

I found motors really easy to use. Intuitive searching, great selection, pages that make everything clear. A huge range of cars and clear which dealers have them and how to contact them. I'd definitely use again!

Placed an advert to sell my car 5 days ago and they still haven't reviewed it. Which means my advert is not on the website!

Tried this site for 4 months and had no sales from it at all. They overcharged me every month and then continued to charge after the contract had ended. Still trying to get the credits back from them. Very poor customer service. Will never use them again.

Tried selling my car and they rejected it. When I asked why after spending an hour on the listing they wouldn't tell me. I tried to get clarity and they said they couldn't do anything about it. Poor customer service. They didn't even email me to tell me they had rejected the listing so I went a week without logging in to the website only to find it never got listed. They also don't always pass your contact details onto buyers who are interested when you give them permission which is my experience with a previous listing. They also didn't help me with that. Sort yourselves out. This is why you're not No. 1

In short the website appears to be abandoned, with no support, severe issues for both sellers and buyers and now runs to garner income from adverts. I signed up like many to sell my car. Initially all worked fine, but when i tried to log in to my account to change details of the advert i realised the login would not recognise my email or password. So i thought perhaps i mistyped my password not a problem i'll reset it. I tried resetting the password only to be told an error has occurred... For the next week i tried to contact the site for help using various email addresses they provide, using the 'feedback' link on the left and even the 'get help' link that pops up when trying to login. All these attempts were either ignored or in the case of the 'get help' link take you to a third party support website that no longer exists presumably because they haven't paid GetSatisfaction's bill?!? After repeated attempts to sign in, reset password or get help i have given up. The car has sold elsewhere with no trouble at all. I'd suggest anyone and everyone avoid at all costs and go elsewhere

I am in the market for a new car this week. I have used the obvious autotrader and Ebay searches, but my local paper's website uses motors.co.uk. I thought this would be great for more local cars, i even downloaded the app for my phone. The response from the site has been awful, in the last three days i have only been able to get results on my pc or my phone once! I hope they can get it working as some of the search buttons make more sense than ebay or autotrader. I have notified them of the problem, lets see if they get in touch...

Absolutely useless customer support. Put my car up for sale and the main photo is not displaying on the search results. Emailed a week ago to get it sorted and had no response.
No telephone number for private sellers.
If your selling your car don't be fooled by their cheap prices, its for a good reason, they are useless! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

I Used www.motors.co.uk when I was car hunting and like the site. It's not too complex to use and they offer advice and information to buyers. Not applicable to me but might help young car buyers probably.
Generally a good site. Not perfect but still worth looking.

Relatively young site that's improving. Relaunched a few months ago and has an easy to use search for new and second-hand cars. There are over 150,000 advertised on the site. Motors.co.uk is not a car seller itself - but advertises dealers' and private sellers' cars.
It has a fairly comprehensive editorial section which is well written and easy to read. Motors.co.uk also makes its own videos, too, which are of good quality.
Only real criticism would be that the editorial seems hidden away and is sometimes tricky to navigate.
