This company has no compassion. I wanted to purchase the 3 day trial period for £2.99. This is not true, while i would also not rate them any higher than 1* calling them bad, i do believe is step to far, i was a paid member of the site for 6 months as i was lucky enough to be offered a 6 month "trial" for £10 the site worked perfectly and i have little to complain about, the site most certainly worked for me, Although there are some serious flaws that are hidden without explanation and certainly the ASA should review their sites for example mixing together the entirety of their databases so for example someone who is one the student portal would also see people on a toyboy portal which makes no sense and certainly aren't providing you with the service they promise, the price also is beyond a joke charging £30 a month.

Global personals employ staff to fake identity and coax innocent people wanting company - they stole my money in a flash after storing my credit details from another time (just a one off trial for £15). This time they stole £89.95 from me and my back (visa disput) refuse to help me. Global personal (just singles) sent my bank my personal details-very personal even photos of me which were put there from being a basic member. I never asked to be a full member-completed no forms and spoke to no staff. I am appalled and totally outraged at this treatment and am no demanding compensation over this as it has caused me distress. In their utter greed for cash they rip us all off in broad daylight and the banks are just as guilty by not helping their customers. Global personals made 40 million pounds to date! I know I am NOT alone and am prepared to take some serious legal action against this company to make a law to protect innocent people. This is happening Just because it is a sensitive subject and shame is involved at wanting someone to care for? Global personal are sick people to take advantage of others in this way

I registered with Marital Affairs and did have some fun but my main complaint is that I would have liked to be in control of when I renew my membership. After having been on the site for a 3 month period I decided not to renew my membership but their opt out system of renewing meant they took the funds from my account without my permission anyway. White Label Dating are closely allied to Global Personals, based in Windsor, which is probably the biggest player in the UK-based internet dating market. It's about time the BBC's Watchdog programme did an undercover invesigation on British company Global Personals Inc (White Label Dating), setting up a boring profile with a dowdy-looking but not obviously outlandish profile, and looking at all of the fake winks and unreadable messages from corporate messagebots resembling models, from just a mile away from your location. Then BBC investigators should swallow the bait, sign up, and realise that alll of the enticing "will you subscribe" winks and emails were bullh*it designed to make even the most junappealing loser feel like a sexgod. Once he signs up, he will get nothing, until it's auto-renewal time when more bot generations will get him hooked.
The whole "autorenewal" scam needs to be looked at. It's difficult nye-on-impossible to leave before the autorenewal date, even when you check the small print.
The directors of White Label Dating / Global Personals should be arrested by the UK Police on serious fraud charges, but it's hardly likely to happen. Can you seriously imagine PM David Cameron passing a new law to help stop sad loveless "British subjects" from losing cash cos of corporate crime.
