“In an area where there are fewer venues than most...”

In an area where there are fewer venues than most other areas in the country, Whins Pond has everything.
Whether you are after the carp, prefer pole fishing or ledgering, the fish are there to be caught.
Double figure nets of silverfish are common place, while bream to double figures and 20lb carp are not rare. Only bad point I can find about the place, is that you are on pallets, and need some form of umbrella attachment or get soaking wet ! (read more)

As a regular visitor to this venue; I aggree totally with the review. I would also add that apart from a couple of pegs by the car park for disabled anglers, there are few places where two anglers can fish together.
