Bad Points: The insurance aspect is hugely deficient, and the hard sell from Budget in Geneva cost us the price of car hire again just to get a reasonable level of cover. Seems Budget do as they wish, and Opodo have no control over it. Very unsatisfactory.
General comments: It will be quickly apparent at significant cost to us if we accept what appears sometimes to be the best deal, and the whole affair is often complicated so as to make like for like comparisons difficult. Budget Swiss may well operate in the same way as others, but it can't make it right. Being pressured into paying large sums to get reasonable levels of insurance cover on top of rental fees is a distasteful aspect of this industry.
