Paid £300 deposit against Kia ceed on 17/11/09, I was told by sales I will have to pay standard charge for Preparation and Europlates £85 odd, after looked reviews and small prints on their web page, I discovered all that extras are optional!! not as what I was told it is must have standard!! I rang up and told the sales man I wanted taken off, he said he could not do it, it is must have and standard, however, after I told him it is on their website in black and white, he changed his tune and said he will need to speak to his manager and leave it with him.

I suppose to pick the car up next week. few days away.. how can I trust someone lying to your face?! trying their luck adding on unnecessary cost?

to be fair, car price is surely lower than the main dealer price. but I will not recommend you buy from dishonest company like them, unless you prepare do your work and find out the hidden charges so you can avoid to pay.

I purchased a car from Motorpoint in Glasgow, immediately after taking it from the forecourt, it developed a fault. On contacting Motorpoint I was told to let it develop, because they could not diagnose the problem over the phone. The problem continued and I was told that maybe I had put 98 octane petrol in the car instead of 95 octane (what difference dose it make?), they told me to wait until I had an empty tank and then refill with 95 octane. I did all this and then they said: take it to some ...

I bought a Vauxhall Vectra CDTi (150) SRi Sat Nav today from Motorpoint. At least 1000 cheaper than anywhere else. Ordered over telephone. Vehicle transported to Glasgow. Viewed on Monday, bought on Tuesday. Excellent service all round. No complaints whatsoever. I would recommend without hesitation.

I've been shopping around Glasgow recently for a Megane coupe-cabriolet. Motorpoint had a brand new one for 13.5K, the cheapest I had found. I went to have a look, but didn't want to commit myself to anything yet. The sales guy said I could put 100 down on it not as a deposit but just to put it on 'hold' for maximum 1 week until I had a better idea of what I was doing. He assured me several times that if I used my debit card for the 100 today, and then I decided not to go for it, it would ...

I saw a Rover 45 diesel on a 45 plate, 5,800 miles recorded, on the Motorpoint website. It was just what I was looking for. I phoned up, and I was told it was on site in Glasgow, and went for a look. The vehicle was actually still in Derby. Apologies from manager. Promised that if I made the 300 commitment it would be in Glasgow within 72 hours. Fifteen days later, and after having sent the wrong car, the one I was interested in arrived. I went for a look. Externally it was fine. Internally a ...

I bought a Daewoo Tacuma from Motorpoint in Glasgow, with delivery miles, new (05) registration and a promise from the salesman of 3 years warranty and 3 years servicing. When I got the car, the stereo was missing and the sales staff fobbed me off for about 6 weeks before they eventually sent me a new one. Even worse, when I took the car to a Daewoo dealer to get a couple of wee problems sorted out they told me that it has been made in 2001 - FOUR YEARS prior to it being sold to me as new! The ...
