Looks nice, but functions are infuriating. Texting is difficult (used to be really easy on my Nokia N73) and the camera is a joke - slow, focus is inconsistent. Just a pain to use and very very disappointing overall.

I was seduced by the stylish good looks of this phone (Samsung Tocco Light) but if you want my advice, 'STAY WELL CLEAR'. Within the space of a week I have stopped texting friends as the text input system is so infuriating and difficult to use that it makes what used to be an intuitive porcess to a frustratingly annoying one. I have given my phone to my wife and will never purchase one again. Just glad I dindt buy the full version. TOTAL NIGHTMARE, LEAVE ALONE!

Samsung Tocco freezes all the time- pretty annoying when your trying to turn the alarm off- you have no chance, the letters seem to overlap when texting, camera quality is rubbish - blame the flash, screen scratches very easily. Its an OK phone, but i kind of regret buying it as it has so many bad points.

I have the samsung tocco, and Ive had it since Christmas, I found it great until the touch screen stopped working. I never dropped it, or anything and its just decided to stop working. Im very annoyed about it.

Samsung Tocco is a top phone apart from the battery and it's failure to charge properly. Bad points are that it doesnt charge no matter how long i leave it on once unplugged its battery life drains in no time not a happy chappy.

It has some really great features. The internet browser is great, really simple to use and lightning fast. The camera is absolutely superb and way better than any I've had on a handset in the past. It looks great, perfect size, and plenty of room to store music on. Also has a really good radio.
The problem with the Samsung Tocco is, it has everything apart from the things you actually need from a phone! The sound quality on calls is absolutely appalling, it's almost impossible to hear what the other person is saying. My biggest gripe though is about texting. I'm a big texter and was scarily fast on my old Nokia, but despite several weeks of practice, I just can't text quickly on my Tocco. The keys are all too close together and it's impossible to not keep touching the wrong ones, meaning I have to type out each word up to 3 times before I get it right. Also, who on earth decided to put the international dictionary on the keypad?! I'll be halfway through a text and then realise the dictionary has, once again, set itself to Swedish! Absolutely infuriating. I rarely text any more, and this makes me sad.
Overall I'd recommend this phone to people who want all the gadgets, the camera, music, good usable interface etc. But if you use your phone primarily for texting, this is really NOT the phone for you.
I've had my Tocco for a few weeks now and it's my first touch-screen phone, so admittedly it has taken a bit of getting used to.

Tne Samsung Tocco is light wieight and compact great for ladies.
Screens often freeze when texting and browsing.
Message sending uses much more text allowance than an Nokia, example one large message = 1 text on a Nokia this = 3/4 texts on a Tocco, so you go through your allowance fast

It's a nice looking phone and has lots of nice feature and I've only had one problem. When I make or receive a phone call on the Samsung Tocco it seems to cut off after the person has picked up even with full signal. Even after 5 attempts at the phone call it still keeps happening for me. However, it does sometimes keep the call going, sometimes takes 2 or 3 attempts.

The phone looks really nice and works great, when it works.
I have had this phone fixed once and it still does the same thing. I have only had it for 4 months. I also find sending texts that I tend to send the message before I have finished typing it because the space button is so close to the send button.

The Samsung Tocco phone camera is rubbish, what's the point in having rubbish pictures on your phone showing people but when you upload them on PC it's clear. Should be clear on phone too as your wallpaper looks rubbish if it's a picture you've taken yourself! Sent it back!

The Samsung Tocco is an amazingly beautiful phone with great ideas, but let down by unforgivable flaws which are present on so many of the Tocco handsets that it's obvious Samsung have made a big mess-up with the release of this phone. There's actually a newer touch screen Samsung already out which is better in every way which might signal that Samsung have given up on the Tocco already!

Can't believe how bad the camera is on the Samsung Tocco...took it back to the shop and even the salesman agreed the pics were blurry!!! Have messed around with the settings but still rubbish. I am really disapointed with this phone and wouldn't recommend it to anyone who likes taking photos!!!!

I am not happy with it but as it was upgrade couldnt give it back. I had nokia n95 before and video quality is not as good as my old phone, even I could say rubbish. Cant speak anybody as its keep cutting, texting is a nightmare as when you do a mistake hard to go back. I still like the look of it but might use my old phone for texting and calling.

The Samsung Tocco phone is excellent apart from the disappearing signal, I have found if you use it hands free the signal stays but as soon as you pick it up, the signal is off. Disappointing as I really do like the touch screen, but I think I will be returning it soon.

I purchased the phone yesterday after being told it compares to and beats the Iphone 3G. It is nowhere near as good. The widgets in the side menu would be great if you could select and de-select the ones you want but most are standard on there and can't be removed. Any music sent by computer comes up as an unsupported device. As it is unsupported you cant open it up to delete it therefore it sits on your phone forever. To sum up the phone I would say it has some good gadgets. The problem is they don't work as they should or as you would expect. The best advice I can give is steer clear.

Looks good, appears easy to use.
Camera - have issues with the image, once it takes the picture the image saves and looks badly pixilated. Am concerned that I may have a dodgy handset but have seen 2 other reviews elsewhere which say the same! Does anyone else have this issue? Can you offer any advice?
I have tried all manner of adjustments from picture quality to type of image (portrait etc) to white balance and still the pictures are pixilated.

Love my Samsung F480 phone, every little detail is funny to discover :-D When I take a picture, my phone says the pic can't be saved, even when I've got no contacts or other things that could fill my phone memory... had anyone had this problem so far and could tell me what I do wrong? I really like the phone, just to bad I can't save my pictures or even view them in my maps...
